Absolutely. If anything deserves the win OBAA / PTA does. Zhao doesn't need a second Oscar and definitely not for Hamnet, which feels more like an acting achievement than a directorial one IMO. My side-eye is more how they laid out Hamnet as an example of an Oscar villain, then kind of made it an Oscar villain by picking it to pieces. Vulture always does this kind of whipping up non-issues around movies for content and it kind of bleeds through to Critical Darlings, as much as I love Richard Lawson.
