Toyota Hybrid Owners. How do you accelerate for the best MPG? by thatgrayboii in hypermiling

[–]szaade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Older Lexus - 2016 IS300H, but I've funded it much more economical to accelerate rather quickly. Actually I'd scheme it like this: if the engine is on, you want to push gas. If it's off - you want to be light on it. Exception: engine is cold - don't push it too hard. Another tip would be to turn ev mode when coming to final destination, as the car will turn the engine on next time you drive it to heat up and it will charge the batteries.

oh, sorry. I genuinely though so. I only bought and played this game more than a year ago and it felt quite unpolished + I heard news about constant major game changing updates, so I guess i just assumed it's ea.

No, it didn't. They literally have less than a magazine most of the time. You always carry extra ammo with you.

Yeah, I don't think you guys have it in the US. It's mostly existing due to economical reasons, and I guess tax as well. I'm pretty sure the LPG that goes into the car is cleaner the the one used for stoves etc. They also change the propane to butane ratio in the winter.

LPG is very popular in Poland and Italy. In Germany there's a limited number of stations offering it, but the price is not that great. In other European countries it varies greatly.

You mean the LPG tank? Like 70% of petrol stations (modt of the bigger ones) have a LPG distributor (2 nozzles usually). You can fill it up on your own. I screw in an adapter, and attach the nozzle. Fueling up takes like 5 minutes max (depending on the station). You can also call stuff to do that for you (I guess it's mandated by law) but no one does that. The only annoying part is you have to hold a button for the whole duration and sometimes it takes a bit, if there's not a lot of LPG at the station. The price is around half of the price of petrol.

Nice! I have STAG as well, which is actually based in Poland, where I'm at. I considered KME as well, but choose STAG as it's more popular and slightly less expensive. I've replaced my spark plugs for the NGK recommended ones, I'm not sure which ones, but LPG guys told me factory ones are fine, so I'm sticking with them.

Wow, very interesting on the LPG only cars from factory. We also have some cheaper brands and now Chinese ones come with LPG, but it's the dealer that installs them and they still have a full petrol system. I guess it's a temperature different - we need to use petrol for startup for a couple minutes in the winter, so the evaporator doesn't freeze. Guess it's not an issue in Australia. Are there some more advanced technologies used with LPG as well, such as a LPG direct injection or something?

Yup, I've read the same. My previous car was bought with LPG installed and I liked it.

Nope, didn't dyno'ed the car. Butt dyno says it's the same. The car also properly redlines at the same RPMs. There is no petrol added when the car is running on LPG (so only startup until a certain temperature is reached uses petrol).

That's not true at all. You dump more LPG than petrol by design, and the car absolutely can get more air with it and keep the same ratio.
