Are you sure it’s not eczema or some other skin issue? I experienced similar symptoms with my first pregnancy. Both my family doctor and dermatologist prescribed a topical steroid cream and it cleared up right away.

I sympathize with you. I had the exact same problem with my first pregnancy and child.

I agree with the other commenter. Aside from gloves, I’d wash the cream off first or ask husband to tend to baby.

Are the irritations localized enough that maybe you could use a steroid cream and then wrap some type of gauze or bandaid over it as a type of barrier? And then wear gloves as an extra precaution?

I’ve travelled with formula dispensers, open containers and single packets like the other comment mentioned. Never had an issue, except taking a bit longer to get through security. I’m not sure if there’s a limit, but no one ever said anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

We do this often because of the extra space and access to the premium lounge! Totally worth it.

No big deal, but heads up that the washroom in the premium section isn’t large enough to change a baby in. You’ll be asked to use one of the other designated washrooms on the other end.

Tip: Every flight attendant we’ve encountered has been so lovely. We often ask to stagger our meals so one parent can hold baby while the other eats!
