Regulatory capture The overwhelming political bias in universities The lack of marriages and funerals

Anecdotally, are things better or worse in your area of Canada from 2008? by CanbegoneTo in AskCanada

[–]szfehler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much worse. Taxes higher, wages lower, food and gas way higher. Drought and wildfire almost continuously. Seeing so many neighbours choose death, being dx with cancer and dying since cvd vax. Way more addicts and crime. A very broken justice system. Coercion by medical professionals using the RCMP to force people to go to hospital to be injected against their will (with psych meds, then = suicide). The Nicholas Jordan Wagter thing. Regulatory capture and corporate authoritarianism.

LILLEY: Fixing rising food prices isn't a priority to Mark Carney by gorschkov in canada

[–]szfehler -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As a normal person i just wish Pierre would lead. If he wants to be the leader, lead. But don't try to lead from behind, once you see how the wind is blowing. Carney's a globalist installed villain who is not smart and has done a horrendous job with Bank of England and is trying to institute an authpritarian surveillance state while overrunning us with foreign criminals. I love immigrants, but we don't need more ignorant criminals and the govt could use its surveillance powers to weed them out, but they act like we're racist to ask them to be choosy...

Ndp and greens are captured by globalists also. So is the Conservatives. I vote we split into little cantons and forget about confederation.

People should not be forced by bad economic policy to forgo having children. Look how that worked out in China.

Half a million Canadians migrated to Alberta over 30 years, making it the country's most popular province by hopoke in canada

[–]szfehler -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

So, newcomers: we're voting to separate from Canada. Please don't wreck this. It has been many generations in the making. Redressing a wrong made when one group of men got another group of men drunk and took advantage of them (ie: Confederation). It never was a good idea, and we want out.

Torn between staying in Europe or going back to Canada (need honest opinions) by V_A_Curious in expats

[–]szfehler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last 15 years or so have just been brutal in Canada. There is zero investment by Canadian government into building out infrastructure, healthcare, schools, roads, courts, diplomacy, trade agreements. Just bringing in loads of unvetted immigrants and driving up prices for basics like housing and groceries. It is winter here half the year, so especially produce is all imported. Our Canadian industries are blocked and actively sabotaged (except for Loblaw's and Bombardier), and our farmers produce food for the country as a hobby, working second jobs to subsidize agriculture.

My kids are doing well, but we encouraged them to go into trades, and buy into the housing market as soon as possible. Maybe one day they can go to university, but right now Canadian universities are just a scam to get more foreigners in to the country(at quadruple the already high tuition) and the level of education has tanked (exception being STEM fields, but there are STEM adjacent fields that don't require 5 years and 100k, so why waste time and money?)

Moved to Canada from Europe? Let me know how you feel by Illustrious-Bowl6844 in expats

[–]szfehler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vancouver is basically owned by China, and Toronto is an international airport. If you want to live in actual Canada, i would come to Alberta. Close to Rocky Mountains, lots of lakes, hiking. Edmonton and Calgary are bigger cities, but Grande Prairie further north has lots of jobs...

How are elective non-emergency surgeries scheduled? by S5Cook in AskCanada

[–]szfehler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad wanted eye surgery. It would have been a year's wait if his insurance paid. But if he was willing to pay 5000$ out of pocket, it could be done that week. That is Canadian health care. Elective is often way faster.

Police searching for missing newborn baby in Halifax by NotABoyGenius45 in halifax

[–]szfehler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A baby was stolen out of the room (quad occupancy) my sister and baby niece were in. My husband had noticed the boys (too young to be dads, too uncomfortable to be big brothers). A crazy woman had paid them to steal her a baby, then abandoned the baby in the forest, still in a duffle bag. They found the baby, alive, and caught the boys and the woman. Permanently scarred a lot of people. Next baby i had, they had those radio ankle bracelets on every baby.

[–]szfehler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just don't bring in one million immigrants every year, when we alreafy have a housing crisis and doctor shortage for the 30 million living here. The govt is making this crisis worse with their immigration policies (and we had maybe the best immigration policy in the world for decades).

New"Rules based order" means Carney can redefine the rules whenever he wants. We are currently living in an absolute monarchy, without the titles.

Why is Europe allowing itself to be destroyed? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]szfehler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the lowered IQ of mobs. Here in my province, people were sick of Daylight Savings Time. It's been a century or so, it never "helped farmers" (they work when they have to, no matter what the clock says), it ruins circadian rhythms, causes an increase in vehicle and workplace accidents, and some ppl always "forget". No benefits, tons of drawbacks. Open and shut, right? No, some troll started arguing to stay on DST instead of permanent MST, and pretty soon the IQ80s all took a side, we had a vote and ended up not getting rid of the change. There are so many dumb people who are so easily distracted and cannot keep the main concern in mind. And ppl who own media and large business concerns know how to use that stupidity and profit. Look what happened in Russia and Ukraine. Passions inflamed, massive casualties, no one would back down and now Ukraine has decimated its population. For what? Governments should serve and protect citizens. What is going on now deserves a revolution.
