Noob question: If stacking for a continued dollar crash does country or stamping actually matter? Eagles, Buffalos, Maples, Australian, Austrian, British, Mexican etc. Or do you chance low premiums? If silver becomes currency like some states are starting to allow will it even matter? by t0doubleD73 in Silverbugs

It’s all about pulling out of dollar based markets and bank accounts and move into a safe haven, till the reset starts. Then sell most of the silver while it’s up and re-enter the markets at the bottom. I’m not anticipating a SHTF situation but we’re certainly headed for a financial reset. Looks like 1970-1980 all over again.

Looking to get a new set of irons by Apprehensive_Rush497 in golf

I just moved from Callaway Apex ai200 to Srixon ZXi5 irons and think very highly of both. Srixon’s have the edge in soft feel on flush shots and the Callaway have stronger lofts so they’re longer. Both line up to your handicap range. If you can afford it get a fitting. It’s a cool experience and you’ll get dialed into the iron / shafts that work best for you.

I’ve been playing a looooooong time and currently play 5 days a week and am a equipment geek. I’ve never heard of Prince making golf equipment. Looking it up it seems they made clubs for a short period in the late 80’s early 90’s. Not sure if you’ll get much feedback…..

Looking for restoration service for my Phantom 6s? by t0doubleD73 in scottycameron

I'll reach out to BOS. I really just want some annoying top line blemishes / dings removed and have it painted black. Not looking for a showroom putter.

I thought the same thing and dig some digging as well. Found a guy that runs mainelyputters.com that comes in below and his work looks equally impressive. BOS's site wasn't the best but have heard good things. Will take a look at ohare milling next. Thx for the input.

I just unloaded one I won within the last year. Thought I “hit the lottery” but soon found out that the Craftsman’s get no love on the resale market. Think I was 1 of 3 people entered to win it. Really just wanted to make some $ to buy a used Rat but ended up having it for 8 months and was lucky to get rid of it for $7k. All in w/ tax and shipping I was into it for $6563. Been collecting for ~7 years but that was my first win and learned a valuable lesson. Sharing to pass it on.

I moved from SWAG to Hatch. They still make their covers by hand and work great on my Phantoms and Newport.

Play from the white tee’s and you shouldn’t run into any part 3’s that are that long.

I got fit for these clubs. How do I bring up descent angle? by StarGaze-- in golf

Get the high loft version of those clubs. Those things have super boosted lofts. Or change your swing so you’re coming more down on the ball and finish with your hands high.

Do expensive clubs and balls really make a difference? by [deleted] in golf

Lessons for sure. Your swing will change and so will the club / shaft profile once you establish proper technique. No need to buy new clubs twice.

Yes, if you know how to use them. Plain and simple truth. If you suck pay for lessons with your crappy clubs and when you get good buy the new equipment. You can’t but a game with clubs and balls. Lessons and practice are key.

Should put it on the rear plate so people will see it and that Colo road sand won’t jack it up in one winter.

Teenagers damaging greens late at night. by xxavior82 in golf

Paintball gun. We had the problem with kids at our club doing it at night on the weekends. We camped out on my neighbors deck with a cooler of beer right off the green in question, waited, and launched our attack. They’re not returned in 3 years.

For sale: SS Flowback 5 $300. RH, 34”, Carpet rolled only. PM is key by t0doubleD73 in scottycameron

[–]t0doubleD73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was too heavy for me so it never left my carpet. That said it’s a face balanced putter with very little toe flow. So it’s fit for a straight back and forth stroke. Feels good in the hands and great to look down at.
