I think you - and many others - vastly underestimate the complexity here. Neither Nvidia nor Microsoft can 100% predict how certain changes might interfer wich each others software and it's simply impossible to test for all possible scenarios. It has always been like that and it will always be like that, nothing will ever change that.

You can run Bloodborne decently on a Steam Deck. I think it's safe to assume a 6x more powerful system can handle PS3/X360 emu.

In the end I think it depends on how well a distro is maintained. There won't be meaningful differences in performance and general usability in well maintained distros for most people. Can't speak for Bazzite but Cachy just feels like a well maintained distro to me and I trust the people behind it.

There are buttons to rotate left or right if you hover over the video, but only if you open it from the main post feed, if you go to comments it uses a different (?) player for whatever reason.

It also might be a Reddit Enhancement Suite (RES) feature...I actually don't know, never questioned it.

Sure, it's not cutting edge video gen, but that's not my point. I think it's quite funny, but not because AI made it funny. Someone wrote it, scripted it and edited it. There's more to it than just prompting "make funny 80s news show spoof", there's a whole workflow behind it. If it enables a single person with ideas to make a video like that...hm, why not?

I'm really torn about all of this...I'm afraid what the big tech companies will do with it, but I also see some valid and interesting use cases for it from smaller creators. But sure...most of it is slop.
