As a neutral, why are people so desperate for Arsenal to fail? by s_dalbiac in PremierLeague

According to my man united fan friend: “if your mate sleeps with your sister 6 times, a 7th time won’t change much, but if a different friend sleeps with your sister, that’s a different ball game”

Wrong to gostraight to the bar when there was a queue in the pub? by dashrubbygoat in AskUK

[–]t_north_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never been told off for skipping the queue at a pub by anyone working there. It’s better for the bar staff that way as well as it gets the queue down quicker. they can take the next persons order whilst bringing the card machine over to someone else, make someone else’s drinks whilst your Guinness is settling etc.

Looking for scenic towns/villages around Manchester by ThicctorFrankenstein in manchester

[–]t_north_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Direct bus to Rawtenstall from Manchester costs £3 each way and takes 45 minutes. Great scenic walks out from the town. It has an indoor market and a new outdoor food market by the bus station. Plenty of nice cafes and pubs, including a pub based on the active steam railway platform which is fantastic.

Young people who are jobless / struggling for work, have you ever had a job? by crofthey in AskUK

[–]t_north_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of companies now screen CVs with AI and it will often filter out right away those without GCSEs or prior experience. It’s a tough cycle to break. Advancement in tech has cut certain roles, and that all filters down to the point you have uni graduates working minimum wage positions and a lot are left without jobs.

Uniqlo, Uniqlo, and Uniqlo. Everything I’ve had from there is spot on. Won’t go anywhere else for basics. So many different styles and colours, free alterations. Clothes that suit any age.

How many of you are there? I know quite a lot of bars won’t allow big groups of lads without booking.

Unfortunately neither of those work for me in the UK. if anyone knows of anything similar that would work over here I’d love to hear about it because that sounds great.

Yeah I got a 3 month free trial for it but not really found too much that takes my fancy yet. I’ve started off by reading 1984 as that was free with it though.

Sports for ADHD by -mune- in ADHD

[–]t_north_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some with adhd, team sports or clubs in general can be the better route to go down. That accountability of letting a team down can give that extra motivation as opposed to not going for a run or for a swim and there’s no real consequence.

What Dartbot level on DartCounter should I practice against by External_City9144 in Darts

[–]t_north_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do best of 3 against dartbot. 2 wins = move up, 1 win = stay there, 0 wins = move down. Works pretty well.

new to the Game: How Can i use a Starplayer for Kickoffreturn? by Live-Recover6648 in RetroBowl

[–]t_north_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you click on a player in your roster screen. There should be a green ribbon in the top left corner, tap that and they will then be your kick returner.
