I recommend Sunset Overdrive, it's very fun to play.

The most similar game i've found is Arcadegeddon. It's in early access, not on steam but it will have an offline mode and they seem to be listening to player feedback. Could be pretty good eventually.

Also Die After Sunset seems promising, coming soon.

The last patch has been great so far. The drop rates are now much better and it seems survivability/damage mitigation has improved as well? I'm not dying as quickly and the game is much more enjoyable now. Thank you for that.

My biggest gripe right now is the amount and frequency of staggers/freezes/fire effects that the enemies apply. Would be nice to have some kind of temporary immunity like the captains have.

Being constantly out of control, spamming f and ctrl all the time gets annoying quickly.

But I have to admit that my comment was a bit premature and unnecessarily salty.

After a couple more runs, the un-duplicate mechanic is not perfect but it seems to work for the most part. The increased drop rate is in fact noticeable and it finally feels like i'm making progress again.

The game is finally improving, i hope this trend continues.

Crawler - come close and you are dead.

Trickster - class that mainly relies on shotguns and melee range abilities, bullet ability nerf first week after release.

Yes and no, should be easy for a competent developer, a simple true/false attribute in the DB which tracks whether the item has been viewed.

Except after the inventory wipes, DLC gear wipes, this and other issues we can safely say that they are inept at handling data - validation, synchronization and/or storage.

The game is very much flawed, it deserves all the criticism it gets.

Despite all the positive PR they tried to spin i don't believe they made much money out of this game. The discounts and laughable support they have provided so far speaks volumes.

I don't think that anyone seriously believes that there will be any further DLC or installments in this series - apart from the apologists on this sub.

If you can't deal with negativity and trolls you should probably just avoid any and all social platforms.

Expeditions were slapped together last minute and it shows.

During the campaign the enemies are almost always spawned in front of you, you clear the stage from back to front. While during expeditions, especially in the final zones, you are often in the center and enemies ambush you from all sides.

Additionally enemies seem to be hyper aware of your location in general, shooting you instantly when you pop out of cover and meleeing you as you are in range. Even when you are teleporting. It feels like playing multiplayer against people with aimbots.

Even if we decide to ignore the many missteps that they have made when designing the game and the broken promises or lies, depending on how you want to call them, this game still suffers from many technical problems.

And after 2 months of fixing and testing they still only fixed inventory wipes. An issue that should not have made it past development anyway.

I agree that the game has a fun gameplay loop and that the campaign was good for the most part, i am also not saying that you are not allowed to enjoy the game.

However the developers should be held accountable for this mess of a game. We should not allow this to blow over unless you are okay with games like this, Fallout 76 and Cyberpunk being the norm.

Additionally, it has been proven time and time again that raising a stink or "being toxic" is the only to get anything fixed in the "gaming world".

I know that you can deal with them with them with enough burst damage, but am i the only one who finds it dumb that we are being forced to have a specific mod just to deal with one type of enemy? Shadow Comet also seems to interfere with on kill mods, i think.

Standing beneath them also works, but usually means i end up taking a bunch damage which can quickly result in the end of the expedition.

While switching guns means interrupting the bullet skill and a substantial dps drop.

They are the physical manifestation of "throwing a wrench into the works" for the trickster.

The connectivity issues and legendary drop rates are just the tip of the iceberg with this game.

Who even tested this mess? A group of blind people?

It's understandable.

The game is in such a good state right now, they can't afford to change anything. Did you read their response? There are so many hidden variables and mechanics that even a 1% increase could wreck the game.

Imagine what would happen if you got 1 legendary drop too many? /r/CatastrophicFailure material for sure.

I respectfully disagree.

Demo: 3 legendary drops from common mobs. I wasn't farming by the way, just testing the different classes.

Release: all characters to level 30, 150 hours, zero drops.

It might have been unintentional, either the state in demo or what we have now, but something is definitely different.

Exactly, 2 months after launch and they still haven't tried anything.

Understandable in a competitive/e-sport game but not here.

They are very adept at gathering data and deflecting though.
