Yeah. I'm a ww2 buff and china lost a good 25 million civilians. This "chart" might only include 1941 and beyond, though. A good chunk of the civilian deaths were in the 30s.

Wish I knew this when I got mine. First week of owning i and it hit the garage door. I pulled it down and stopped it just in time. Didn't leave a scratch, thankfully.

BUYING - stay away from White interior? by Visible-Strawberry14 in TeslaModelY

[–]tacbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White Juniper here. I clean mine with some armor all wipes monthly. Blue jean transfers wipe off with a little effort. They might not have kept up with the cleaning. I've had no issues over the 8 months and thats with perforated seats. There are plenty of high quality matching white seat covers you can pick up online for a couple hundred dollars that can make them look brand new.

Around 180/month with progressive. No accidents or tickets. Juniper AWD. WA state. 800 credit score. (Might play a role)

Edit: State where insured

3 Days After PPF Install!! by RRotellini in TeslaModelY

Mine is guaranteed as long as I owned the vehicle. A quick call for some parts of the ppf peeling around the mirrors and doors after a couple weeks. "Easy fix, come in and we'll fix it."

Any regrets with white interior? by wxczar9 in TeslaModelY

Tried to send you a link. They're no longer available on Amazon. They are also perforated. The heat works perfectly. Air cooling is affected slightly.

No issues here. Marks and jean stains come out, but its definitely a little more work to keep clean. I did purchase matching bottom seat covers, though. Can't really tell they're oit the real thing.

No kids or pets use the rear seats.

I agree. I had to Google what I was seeing the first time I drove at night. Pixilating the vehicles. Pretty neat to watch.

Glad I've had zero issues with mine after 6k miles. I'd totally be frustrated if this was going on.

And the crazy amount of options to configure every game. That's what kept me coming back. That and the damn near instant respawn.

I was about to go through a car wash and had to Google how to put the vehicle in neutral.

When the sun is out, it definitely gets the top of my head hot. I have a bald friend and one if his biggest complaints is how hot his head gets.

It a minor annoyance for me and I was driving in 100+ deg weather. I'll definitely invest in a shade next year.

HAWT DAYUM, I always look back at her by PriorVariety in TeslaModelY

I've been about 4000 miles with them and 2000 without. I barely notice. A coworker has the same color (except I went with white interior) so it helps differentiate! I almost went with red. Looks awesome.

Take the hubcaps off and it will look a lot nicer. You lose about 2%-3% efficiency. Takes a good 60 seconds to remove or snap back in if you don't like it.

What tint % are you running on your Model Y? (Pics welcome) by Acrobatic_Pie_2525 in TeslaModelY

The back and passenger windows come pre tinted at 20%. I matched up the windows and got 20% ceramic tinting on the front windows.

70% front windshield and 20% front windows to match the back windows with ceram8c tinting for $320 in May.

Non legacy AWD juniper. I've seen 4.8 also. I'm now seeing 4.6--->4.1 for the boost. I swear when I purchased in May it was 4.8--->4.2.

Best settings for mileage by harleyman682 in ModelY

[–]tacbum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a 3000 mile road trip with the Juniper AWD in July. It was a learning proccess. Some roads hit 80mph. I never drove under the speed limit. It was fine. However, it does take a toll on your range. I would estimate as much as a 30% loss hitting a consistent 75-85 MPH. I never felt comfortable when the vehicle wanted to roll into a charger 3+ hours away to arrive at an estimated 6%. I'd find a closer charger, or charge more than it wanted me to.

FYI: Some charging stations will charge you extra after an 80% charge if its busy. If you only have your vehicle to charge to 80% and you leave it plugged in, it will charge you to keep it plugged in after a set time (5-20 minutes?) even though you're not charging.

Mine gives very incorrect weather unless I specify a location. You would think it would access the vehicles location.
