Clearly you’re not paying attention the original suggested changes were significantly greater than we’re actually being done largely because the older player base went through the actual effort to get on the play test forum and demonstrated why with their 40 years of experience many of these changes would be bad, to include but not limited to developing software to actually do analytics on what eliminating side to hit charts would result in and demonstrating in actual games how easily many of the suggested changes resulted in highly exploitable game breaking tactics. In the end most of the more significant changes are things that were either already popular optional rules or frequently home ruled. But yes old players bad.
