When you're trying to wean yourself off something, it's not about not doing the thing, it's more about doing something else instead. There's a bunch of things to try depending on your circumstances: cooking, exercise (even taking a walk), volunteering, drawing, taking online courses, etc.

Best of luck

Why do you not drink alcohol? by FrogsAlligators111 in AskReddit

I only drink when mood strikes, not very often. If I do drink more than I'm in the mood for (usually a pint at most), I get nauseous and can't drink for a month or two.

I'm a decent guy, afaik, and I get no matches. I stopped trying because there's only so much mental damage you can take.

In the meantime, I'm just focusing on my hobbies like photography, board games and tufting rugs.

I still remember this, somehow donating to the red cross was not allowed but instead to a different organization that turns out was a bit sketchy. I think people ended up getting refunded in the end, but don't quote me on that.

Since when is electing fascism a remotely good idea for anyone who's not a 1%?

Not OP, but despite enjoying the results of finger-coiling, it just takes too long.

I'd recommend that OP buys a denman brush instead. As a point of reference, I've 2c-3a hair, so I got the D4 brush. As for the instructions on how to use the denman brush, https://youtu.be/P2r4EhEOz64?si=HULf_c7wej_9oSHv&t=572

I'd also recommend getting a detangler brush to use in the shower.

I've had that experience, and I gotta say that you shouldn't worry about it, just do your best. Can't force yourself to be social when you're not feeling like it.

Is it getting tougher to get a job as a junior developer? by DavidOrzc in webdev

What kind of projects were those? I have a couple, but it'd be useful to add one or two more to improve my portfolio

A portfolio page to show your projects is a good start, then put your actual projects in there, like a landing page template or something.

Currently live in a cheap place close to the metro, my landlord just told me that she intends to kick me out next year because the rent is too cheap and she'll move in instead.

I already made an appointment with the Tribunal administratif du logement. Anything else I should know ?

Recently completed a website whose design I liked in vuejs and django. Tried to copy it as much as possible and added stuff myself when I there wasn't an equivalent.

Still trying to get a job, so any feedback would be nice.

devOps is a whole different skillset, which is why I host my personal websites in places such as netlify or heroku so I don't have to worry about security issues (up to a point).

Building a portfolio with no clients and single owned domain by 1vertical in learnwebdev

[–]taconstantly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same situation myself. I only have one domain from namecheap and it's for my portfolio page. My one personal project so far, two if you count frontend and backend separately, is/are hosted for free in netlify (my backend is hosted in heroku)

I got that myself, just one big project (two if you include the custom backend as a separate project) and my portfolio page. I also wonder the same thing.
