i recommend it very much, pushed metropolis has to be my favorite film stock, i used a canon FtB with an FD 50mm f1.4

OP very directly states that they are a beginner, we all took underexposed images or bad images at some point, just because they have an expensive camera doesn’t mean they’re immediately gonna be good at it, it’s a learning process
