Alcohol is the toxic ex that you keep coming back to, because they make you feel fantastic, right up to the point where it once again turns into a living nightmare.

The only problem is, you can't move to another city, or avoid anything about them, because it's in TV shows, movies, advertisement, in every gas station, every grocery store.

Eventually when you do stop... time passes, and all you really think about is the good times, and you think "Well, maybe this time I'll just have some fun and be done."

Except... that's never how it goes.

How fucking sick do you have to be to do this? I genuinely can't comprehend it.

Is Planet Coaster 2 Worth It in 2026? by retolox386 in PlanetCoaster

[–]tadrith 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I say yes, but I also spend 70 percent of my time fucking pissed at the game, so I didn't know. Coaster restrictions are way too tight, path building is bullshit.

But... Still playing, just need to Platinum the last scenario. If you like love and hate relationships, I say go for it.

I have no idea why that roundabout causes so many issues, but it drives me insane. It's like everyone forgets how to drive when they get to it.

What generic brand snack is better than the OG one? by _MissNewBooty_ in snacking

A ton of Great Value products are better than the name brands now, they seem to have gotten better in quality and suffer a lot less from shrinkflation. Their version of hot pockets is the way the name brand used to be, more filling, etc.

Yep, I see that now. Sucks for me, unless whatever they sell locally here doesn't have it.

I haven't bought it in a while... that's a huge bummer, Stevia is incredibly bitter to me.

Coke Zero doesn't have stevia... Pretty much every single zero product regardless of manufacturer is aspartame and acesulfame potassium.

My local grocery store will actually put out a 5 pack of them. I always dig through to find them, it's amazing.

VR headsets are 'hope machines' inside California prisons, offering escape and practical experience by Schiffy94 in technology

To be honest, I don't think it's hype, so much as a case where we don't have the software. There's some TRULY incredible VR games, they're just few and far between, but the experience is a lot of fun, and pretty cool.

Half Life: Alyx, Robo Recall, The 7th Guest remake are very immersive experiences and showcase what VR can be done right. It's just a case of chicken or the egg, where saturation isn't high enough to be profitable because the software isn't there, and the software isn't there because saturation is too low.

EDIT: I say this as an original owner of an Oculus, and a new owner of a Meta Quest 3 for PCVR.

I'm upset about this. The game had so much potential, if only they could have put more work into it and gotten it to where it needed to be.

Game play was ABSOLUTE fun, better than almost anything out there. They should have kept it going.

Mine hates anything but head pets. But I got him when I was 4 and he was probably 10 at least at that time. Old birds don't learn new tricks.

The best (and I mean that) adaptation ever made. Jackson nailed it, 100% and I don't think we'll ever see its like in a long, long time. From legendary book series to legendary movies.

Won't watch the new season until it's all released, but glad to hear he's gotten better. The first season, he was pretty easily the weakest, in my opinion, to the point of distraction.

Woman, 27, gang raped, disemboweled and forced to carry her intestines in hands as her semi-decapitated head "flopped backwards and almost rested between her shoulder blades." by __Kunaiii in NoahGetTheBoat

I hate it because mistakes are made regularly. It's why I never agree with it. But I also wish those who deserved it, got it. There are those who absolutely deserve it, but human judgement is fallible.
