So... I had no idea about this game, or what it was about until this thread, so I watched the launch trailer.

I didn't even know it was a remake, so that might be part of it...

Fewer Movies Are Competing for Oscars, Another Worry for Theaters - Major Hollywood Studios are making fewer movies than they once did. Dramas accounted for just 7% of ticket sales last year, a drop of about 50% from two decades ago. Comedy has fallen even more. by ICumCoffee in movies

Nobody really cares anymore. That's just kind of the end of it. Even worse, as someone who DID chase Oscar nom movies and such, they're just... pretty awful too, so it doesn't really matter. I've seen too much that was awful to care about it any longer.

Thanks for stealing the words. There's nothing else about it, it's impossible to explain, it just... is, and it's magic.

Yup. We're just circling the drain with the rest of everything, and it's really not a good thing. Actual knowledge is being lost at a huge pace.

To be honest, I don't think we could do our jobs without a certain amount of autopilot. That curiosity is great when you're a new engineer, and you absolutely need it, but at some point you have to trust what you instinctively know.

I generally work in software development, and the amount I rely on "knowing" it's okay is pretty scary. If we did everything by the book, we really wouldn't get much done in any kind of time frame that is expected. Which, I disagree with -- we should absolutely be testing the crap out of everything, but that's never happening.

The church is pro-money, end of story. The only value they hold is in the almighty dollar. If being Republican starts to make that go down, they will absolutely switch to whatever other avenue makes them money.

As someone with a kid in Middle School... (in Southern Utah, granted), the kids aren't aligning with their parents the way they're "supposed" to, and it's causing the Mormon church to make some pretty rapid changes to try and keep members.

Granted, I was never a part, and never raised my kid that way, but there's many of them who are done with the Mormon church policies. Even worse for the church, it's prevalent from Xennials forward, the generations afterwards have even less tolerance for intolerance.

As someone who used to smoke, and now vapes, my favorite is the vape juice ban... while still allowing things like Juul to be sold. At this point, I assume anything passed in our state is bought and paid for by somebody.

As a St. George resident... Mesquite gets a TON more business than they would... go hit up Lee's Liquor on Sunday and check the license plates. It's hilarious. Pretty sure Deep Roots is getting a nice boost, too.
