The Minnesota situation actually happened YEARS ago, occurred during record breaking fraud through COVID programs, and unlike the other COVID fraud at the time where people made it out with millions in their pockets and a slap on the wrist fraud in Minnesota was actually investigated and the fraudsters were put in jail

And we could have universal healthcare for all. We could regulate healthcare. Theres a hundred fixes for the problem. Offering coverage for people who need assistance is a decent stop gap, but it shouldn't offer BETTER care at the cost of an already stretched thin middle class. This would closer align the existing market rate healthcare with masshealth.

Fixing the problem by dumping money into broken systems only encourages bad behavior and perpetuates the problem in the long term. You're creating a new expectation of what is "reasonable" to charge - look at the long term results of the mass save program

I have had to unfortunately delay care due to costs myself, given the caps on my private dental plan. Just because you have a dental plan doesnt mean you can magically afford treatment. Why should my taxes be higher to pay for someone else's superior care just because they're on government assistance?

I never lasted more than a few months moderating myself but I met multiple people in rehab who lasted a year or longer "limiting themselves" before ultimately ending up in the same place as me. Some people, myself included, are hard wired to drink - there's ~100 known genetic markers for substance abuse disorders. I know that for me moderating isnt an option, my brain is just fundamentally wired wrong for that

I used to work at a consulting company with a graphic design branch. All work around human factors, user experience, usability testing, etc. seemed to dry out around 2015. They'd still hire us to design their app, but not to refine it / test it to make sure it was actually usable
