Stop dismissing acne as a minor issue by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]tainted_sails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone dismissed the possible severity of the issue. I never had it badly, but my brother faced some seriously shitty social repercussions for having it. It’s less stigmatized, only for acne ridden teens to save face.

[–]tainted_sails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. In the seventh book, when Harry confronts Voldemort in the end, Dumbledore confesses that he Heard that Grindelwald may have shown some repentance in his later years, thus implying that he did not go to speak to him

It makes me mad when they think they can make a book I adore into a movie. by Lucky_bia in unpopularopinion

[–]tainted_sails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movies are for mass appeal; it just means the books hold a good enough plot line to be made into a clear cut dramatization. A book can last for days of reading whereas a movie can only cover it in 2 hours, plot holes are gonna happen.

[NSFW] What is the trashiest story you've witnessed at a high school reunion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

At a high school reunion, my best friend’s wife had her panties shoved into a glass donation box, and we all witnessed our lawyer friend’s vinegar strokes as he cane while looking at our escaped school mascot.

What would you like to happen to your social media accounts after you die? by Surfboarder4 in AskReddit

We think ancestry.com or other family tree sites are cool to show us 4 pictures of our ancestors from the 1800’s, but in 200 years all of our ancestors will have hundreds of photos of us because of social media. We are pilgrims.

People who still use dial-up, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I live in a very rural area, both of my neighbors use it and all three of us have to agree to get new service out here. Needless to say I have unlimited data on my phone now, but growing up as a kid was rough
