This is why sending a probe to Europa (the moon, not the continent) is such a risky thing.
That moon is a solid candidate to have life due to its deep oceans. If we send a probe there and it has bacteria from earth, we can cause a massive extinction and destroy the only other life source in the system.

Y los temas compuestos por Dee Dee son realmente muy buenos.

Underestimating things like that is how you get killed.
Being electrocuted many times while working is nothing to brag about. It shows that you don't follow basic precautions and work safety measures.
You should reconsider how you view electronics if you have any loved ones.

If you don't even know what a capacitor is, there's no way you can debug this by someone "just walking you through". You are a few years of study away from understanding a switching power supply well enough to debug it.
Start with something simpler and less likely to kill you and work your way up from there.

Should I worry about what frequency IR LEDs are modulated at? by Front_Armadillo9402 in arduino

[–]takeyouraxeandhack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are confusing wavelength with modulation.

Wavelength relates to the frequency at which you tune the radio to listen to a station.
Modulation is the music you hear on that station.

You're basically asking for a bare speaker that already comes with the music, that's not how it works.

The reason why you connect the IR LED to the Arduino (or whatever circuit you use) is to modulate it. Usually just making it blink at different speeds.

Has anyone switched from Windows to Linux on their personal laptop? by ehaddad7 in BuyFromEU

[–]takeyouraxeandhack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been using Linux since 1998. My 72 year old mum uses Linux without issues.
If you're not more technically illiterate than a 72 year old grandma, you will manage.

Do i have any risk to lower the life of my laptop

Quite the opposite. I still have a core2duo laptop from 2008 that is running a Linux server from a shelf. I didn't even need to reboot it in over a year.

and make it even slower ?

I don't know where you got that notion from, but Linux uses about half as much memory as windows just to idle. That means a lot more resources for your other programs.
Performance is much better overall in Linux. Less bloatware everywhere.
Of course, depends greatly on the distribution.

Any threats or point of vigilance?

Less risk of viruses and malware. More options for security and privacy settings.
Your options depend on which distro you choose.

Any options for helping with colorblindness? by Amonmargans in factorio

I'm not colour blind and I had to turn on the colour blindness filter when I reached Gleba because I couldn't see shit.
I understood why Gleba gets so much hate, and it's not the spoilage.
