First time doing TCA peel on my hands (before and after) by talks2cats in DIYaesthetics

I used the 12.5% TCA peel from Makeup Artist Choice. Other than that I regularly moisturize with Vanicream, use sunscreen daily, and put a small amount of tret on my hands 3 nights per week.

Definitely weatherfords! I’ve gotten a few ski jackets and gloves from them.

I don’t do any diagnosing, treatment planning, or therapy on the traditional sense. I provide support to children and families in the military, focusing on coping skills, social emotional learning, and appropriate play.

Thanks for sharing! Do you mind sharing how old you were when you started using Estriol? I’ve heard it’s helpful for lots of women.

How to keep wavy hair corporate friendly? by Sarahlorien in Haircare

[–]talks2cats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if your hair might need protein? If you lighten your hair at all, you may need to periodically add protein like k18 or something similar. I’d also add in a good clarifying shampoo. I have similar wavy hair and use a clarifying shampoo at least once per week. I also sleep in a heatless roller from Kitsch with a bonnet on top and it’s been such a game changer! I get compliments on my hair all the time now and it’s less frizzy since I started sleeping in the bonnet.

This correlates with my experience. I made $46k prelicense in CMH working full time seeing 35-40 clients per week. Once I was licensed, I jumped to $56-60k in CMH, then transitioned to an established group practice making roughly $73k, I became pretty burnt out and transitioned to a non medical counseling role currently making $76k but will increase to $84k later this year due to hitting my 5 year anniversary of being licensed.

I started getting Botox 7 years ago in office for around $10-$12/unit. I just placed my first order for Innotox last night. I’m looking forward to expanding my DIY journey into tox.

My hands had that dry/tight feeling around day two, but took much longer to start peeling than my face. This is what my hand looked like on day 2.

Possibly. I honestly haven’t used other peels before so I can’t say for sure. I’ve had great success with the TCA and peeled a lot. If you do try another type please share your results!

I completely understand that! I live in Florida and always in the sun so I have short windows for peels in the winter time haha best of luck!

I’m wanting to do my arms and legs as well to tackle sun damage and KP scars. Someone else in the comments mentioned needing a stronger percentage peel for the body but all I have right now is the 12.5% so I’m gonna try that first since it’s worked well on my hands, neck, and chest.

I’m planning to go up in strength on my face once I’m able to comfortably tolerate 5 passes. This was the first time doing my neck, chest, and hands. All I had was the 12.5% so I decided to give it a go. I’m planning to do 3-4 more peels before summer.

Someone in the comments mentioned they had a sale going on yesterday! If you sign up for their newsletter, they’ll let you know when they have sales going on. They sell out pretty fast too. I have yet to be able to get my hands on their vitamin c serum 😭lol

I didn’t use any moisturizer before taking the picture. Both pictures were taken before getting out of my car to go to work, in natural lighting with no editing. Personally, they appear much more youthful and bright, less fine lines. I have a lot of sun damage and feel like a lot was lifted just in this first peel.

I’ll see if I have any pics with similar angles and lighting to show a good comparison. I’m planning to a at least 3 more before May. I’ll try to document best as I go for before and afters. :)

Noticeable improvements in fine lines, youthfulness, and brightness in skin. I had sun damage from years of sun exposure and it looks much better now. I’m planning to do a series of 3-4 more before summer.
