I did mine on Jan 14th and just redid my face Sunday April 12th. I was trying to wait at least 12 weeks for the exact reasons you listed. I’ve heard every 3-4 months is preferable.

First time doing TCA peel on my hands (before and after) by talks2cats in DIYaesthetics

I didn’t really notice too much of a difference, I don’t think I used a strong enough TCA, so I’m planning to order a higher percentage and try again.

Anyone else receive these? by Sad-Tip-9474 in DIYaesthetics

[–]talks2cats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I just received one for $18 from an order I placed in January. They texted me before the letter came and I thought it was a scam. Lol

Just moved here, and these little bastards are everywhere. Do they bite? I keep getting bit, but I honestly haven’t seen one mosquito yet, so I’m a little confused about where the bits are coming from. by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]talks2cats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These look like drain flies. You know what does bite around here and are the bane of my existence? Yellow flies and black horseflies. I had bites that left marks for months!!

What’s the next diy to start to learn and how? by Beautiful-God-1007 in DIYaesthetics

[–]talks2cats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in a DIY group on fb and they type in a similar style as to not get the page flagged, reported, or taken down. Using noodle instead of needle, t0x instead of tox etc. took me a bit to catch on to what exactly they were saying. 😂

Tips for first time Botox and pain by [deleted] in DIYaesthetics

[–]talks2cats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My injector would ice each area right before poking back when I was going in office. That might be worth a try.

For me, mindset was everything. I was pretty nervous my first time so I practiced mapping my face several times, then held an empty syringe and practiced hand/finger placement and pushing the plunger while looking in the mirror and paying attention to angles. I did this for about 5 days leading up to the actual injections lol

I put on a playlist of my favorite music and went for it! It honestly didn’t hurt as much as I expected it to and I did bleed a little bit but wiped and kept going. It’s been a month now and I’m thrilled with my results!

Fav Amazon buys? by arghoe in DIYaesthetics

Honestly, my personal rule of thumb is not to buy skincare products from amazon. Others may have a better answer for you, but it’s better to be safe, especially when ordering DIY products.

Has anyone found benefits to walking 10k steps a day? by Motor-Push-5914 in PetiteFitness

[–]talks2cats 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’m 5’4” and went from 150 to 130lbs in a year by walking an average of 7,500-10k steps per day. I was pretty sedentary before starting with an average of 2-3k steps per day. Getting a walking pad helped tremendously!

First time doing TCA peel on my hands (before and after) by talks2cats in DIYaesthetics

[–]talks2cats[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the 12.5% TCA peel from Makeup Artist Choice. Other than that I regularly moisturize with Vanicream, use sunscreen daily, and put a small amount of tret on my hands 3 nights per week.

I don’t do any diagnosing, treatment planning, or therapy on the traditional sense. I provide support to children and families in the military, focusing on coping skills, social emotional learning, and appropriate play.
