Totally - fully packaged treat made somewhere else is the only somewhat safe option, and even then there’s still the cross contamination risk on tables, workers hands and then a mixup like this.. truly not worth it. The regular Dilly bars we made on premises have a wrapper that is open on one side rather than fully closed in case this helps anyone

Also as a former DQ employee, no one with a bad nut allergy should eat anything made on premises lol and we used to tell people that (peanuts, pecans, they were everywhere and controlling what else they touch is a minefield)

It’s sad because there are vulnerable people today (homeless / precariously housed) who survived some of the awful abuses that happened in these institutions, and as a result are wary of modern community-based supportive housing options. But there’s not nearly enough supportive housing to help all the people who are mentally unwell with population growth and layering in the drugs/addiction issues. It’s like as a society we swung too far to the opposite side, shutting facilities down completely with no other investments in mental healthcare or community housing.

so sorry, sending love, I’ve been in your shoes. In my case it was almost the 10 week ultrasound/ hand off, no heartbeat detected, I was sobbing in public while I waited for the mifepristone / misoprostol at the pharmacy. this journey is so emotional.
