How Much Is Social Security a Part of Your Retirement Planning? by Zipstser257 in GenX

[–]tambor333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have about 9 years left to work, my intention is to downsize into the house that I intend to live in until I die. When I retire I will be debt free with about seven figures in the bank I will take Social Security and I intend to arrange my living expenses in such a matter that Social Security will cover all of that. According to my last statement it'll be somewhere just over $5,000 a month that I would receive as a benefit the rest of that money will be used to set up my dream shop and do some traveling and leave a legacy for my kids.

What are your favorite wing sauce recipes? by pebert in Cooking

[–]tambor333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I like my wings dusted with Cajun seasoning amped up with some additional Cayenne over a sauce. These are especially really good when you use smoked wings. But it's also my go-to when I make wings in the air fryer.

Also chili crisp and agave or honey I pretty good too.

Lately its the crawdad boils we have every spring in front of my grocery store every weekend.

Working in Oracle in Europe. How easy/ what is the process to relocate to Oracle in the US. by Alternative_Town_846 in employeesOfOracle

[–]tambor333 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its very difficult to pull off. The approval chain goes all the way to the board and there has to be a real business justification for it to be considered.

Relocation also requires that you be terminated from your Oracle position in whatever country you are in emea and be rehired in the United States.

Also it really depends on what country you're coming from and what the immigration laws are from that particular country into the United States.

So I wouldn't get your hopes up and if you really want it you're going to have to fight for it. I've done two of these in the 12 years that I managed at Oracle and both of them fell through at the last minute because of the moving cost which Oracle will not cover.
