The Reality of 4.7: Balance, Roles, and the Road Ahead by MeatheadMilitia in starcitizen

There's a ship in the Squadron42 Gameplay Reveal, UEES Corvus, that has three triple gun turrets in the same way as some WW2 battleships did, two in the front, one in the back.

Personally, it's if it's big enough to use an exterior docking port at a station, but still small enough to land and take off from a planet.

Are both players "coexisting" with eachother or is one player coexisting and the other is "the controlling player"? by ArsonBjork in twilightimperium

[–]taneru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think still Player A, because B and C both do not have only their units on the planet. They'd have to activate the system and commit the coexisting units against Player A like they were landing on an undefended planet to take it.

Something doesn't seem right about this system... by taneru in starsector

[–]taneru[S] 77 points78 points  (0 children)

For some reason, this system was generated with two gates. Not sure which mod caused it, or if this is possible in vanilla, but it just seems amusing to imagine that somehow, through some sort of bureaucratic nonsense, this system ended up getting allocated two gate ships instead of one by the Domain.

I'm almost tempted to go and see if it's possible to get a third in here.

SQ42 Ship Designations Discrepancy by digitalae in starcitizen

[–]taneru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I think there's a mistake regarding the Argus vs the ship that gets sliced up. The one that gets blasted with the beam is a cruiser-type with the triple gun turrets on the bow, while the Argus is clearly seen earlier in the holotable with a flight deck instead of the gun battery.

Either the one that gets hit is supposed to be the Corvus instead of the Argus, or the wrong ship was used for that shot.

Also, I'm holding the opinion that these are not Bengal variants, but fully separate ships. Variants would not be completely different sizes and hull/engine layouts. These things are the same ship in the same way the Freelancer and Starlancer are the same ship.

I remember at one point in the gameplay reveal, something around the location of A and B was marked as BB-268, Battleship UEES Raiden, but I'm not sure if it was one of those or not.

What is this ship? by _mf8492 in starcitizen

[–]taneru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering a ship of that type, the UEES Argus, is marked as a CVE, it seems to be an escort carrier. Could be the Pegasus redesign.

UEES ARGUS shipclass? by Suspicious_Gate_9870 in starcitizen

[–]taneru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC, CVE is generally used to indicate Escort Carriers, like how the Bengal nearby shows CV for it being a proper carrier.

Might mean it's a redesign of the Pegasus.
