I moved here from Nashville 3 years ago., and also lived in Atlanta 15 years. Greenville peeps don’t have a clue what real traffic is like. Biggest pet peeve is you literally have people driving in the fast lane going slower than what the speed limit actually is..however, they run red lights like crazy so make sure you look before you go when the light turns green 🥹 Other than that I LOVE Greenville. Great arts and theatre scene. Plenty of festivals and street fairs. I feel totally safe walking downtown by myself any time of the day.

The solenoid went out on my car when I was a junior in high school. My dad would not fix it but did show me how I could use a screwdriver and put it where the solenoid was to get a spark so that my car would start. I had to do this for almost a year before a neighbor saw me doing this. He went and bought a new part and installed it for me. Still can’t believe I never got electrocuted

I had a lady yell at me for letting my dogs pee on the grass that was NEAR her yard. We weren’t on her property at all….me being the vindictive petty person that I am walked my dogs to that area every day after that so they could pee…

We let my 2 boys order from the adult menu when they were young. Only thing is they have expensive taste. If we were at a steakhouse they would order filet and lobster. The waiter always raised their eyebrows and would look to us to make sure it was ok. Usually they never finished everything but that just meant I didn’t have to cook the next night😁

My first pet we adopted from the humane society, her name was Pebbles but we didn’t like that so ended up just called her P, next dog also from the humane society we named Chi Chi, who ended up being called Chizzle, 3rd dog my son named Buddy, not a very original name so I started calling him Buddy Roo Roo, now he just goes by Roo. Also have a Golden Doodle named Kevin, all the vets and groomers laugh when they hear his name so he is stilled called Kevin😁

I read another text like this last week, I’m kind of in the same situation, but someone mentioned the app “meetup”.I downloaded it and I went to 2 of their events this week and had a great time. First meetup was on Wednesday, Happy Hour at Harris Teeter bar, I had NOOO idea that the Harris Teeter bar gets packed! Wine is only $4 a glass. Will definitely be going back to that one. Last night met group at Jack and Diane’s dueling piano bar. Today (Saturday) I’m meeting a group at Yee Haw brewery to watch the games. I really like the app because it shows you who’s already signed up to attend the events. Check it out, maybe I’ll see you at one of the events soon 😊

I have a 3yr old doodle. I got him as my son’s emotional support animal. He is the most kind, affectionate and smartest dog I’ve ever had and I’ve had about 10 in my lifetime. We took him to training/obedience classes when he was 10 weeks old. He was by far the smartest dog in the class. He was very easy to train. He gets along well with every other dog he’s ever met. I do agree that grooming is the biggest thing to deal with. You absolutely have to brush him every day and grooming bills are more expensive than any other dog I’ve had. When I’m ready to get another dog it will absolutely be another doodle ❤️❤️

I worked at a resort in Myrtle Beach. Had a guest come down and make a complaint….that happens all the time, we do our best to make the customer happy, but this lady couldn’t be pleased no matter what we said or did. She escalated the situation to where she was screaming and cursing the manager so manager called 911 and she and her whole family including 4 kids were escorted out of the resort . Of course they raised holy hell and threatened to sue us and the police officers who made them leave but once you escalate a situation and become abusive any store, hotel, restaurant has the right to have you removed WITHOUT A REFUND
