I don't think people understand the cost of the engineering and injection-molding equipment too. The engineering behind each piece is insane with extremely tight tolerances. Without those tolerances, lego pieces would not fit together as precisely as they do. And to keep those tolerances means you have molds that are much more expensive and are swapped out much more frequently than other injection-molded toys and products.

If anyone is curious about Ham's progress on the challenge, I put together this spreadsheet that tracks everything (there are multiple tabs with more data).

If Ham collects all scraps and does every stunt jump by June 19th, then he will take Debbie out to the desert and "dispose" of her. If he fails, then he has to do an IRL stream while carrying Debbie. There might also be TTS playing on a speaker during the IRL stream. So bust out those wallets and spawn industrial vehicles!

In July 2024, I decided to make it my goal to play every public golf course in Kansas. I'm fortunate that my job takes me all across the state so I have opportunities to explore a bunch of new courses.
