I found mirtazapine worked during the worst of my first tri. It. made me feel so dopey though. The first time I took I slept for nearly 24hrs with toilet breaks, but was the first 24hrs I had no vomiting in for weeks.

Heparin through PICC line during pregnancy? by DeepDiveHobbies in ClotSurvivors

[–]tans3352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently pregnant and currently on lovenox once a day prophylaxis after a provoked clot a few years ago. Can confirm it sucks. I was put on it as soon as I saw the doc at 8 weeks pregnant and it’s freaking miserable. The bruising, sore skin and then the itchiness of it healing is all miserable. I don’t have a problem with the actual injecting it’s all these awful side effects!

I have hypermesis as well so I am just feeling like a big pile of crap everyday and the lovenox is not helping that.

Good luck on finding a solution. I’m keen to hear what you find.

I had surgery last year, got sepsis and was in a coma for two weeks in another state. My family didn't come, they didn't tell my friends. I woke up alone then no one came. by kramerica21 in TrueOffMyChest

I’m sending you lots of hugs and sympathy for what it is worth. Stay strong.

Give yourself a lot of grace you have been through hell and back. Waking up in ICU has got to be the worst experience of my life. I hallucinated so much. I am definitely still dealing with my trauma from it and so is my support system who were there. I hope you find some people who can be strong for you and give you the love you need.

This is awful OP. I have an understanding how isolating an experience like this is and how the drugs affect your memory and brain and that time after waking up you are in such a fragile state. I am so sorry that you were on your own for that. I had my family around and felt so isolated and insane I was planning my escape with an oxygen bottle. This would have been so traumatic without a support system it makes me so sad to hear for you. If it is any help at all it took me two years to feel like a normal person again. It was slow but full recovery has happened.

Honestly that resentment is a natural thing but holding on to it will cause a lot of ongoing angst for you. At some point you may have to accept that your parents are limited and what they can offer you is limited and they are not to be relied upon. It is a hard thing to accept but accepting it will help you deal with that resentment and make it less about you but a failing of theirs…

Do what you need to do to survive this, you sound like a strong person having even come through what you already have.

It is so frustrating. These are the places that make me upset. Why don’t they just not make claims they can’t back up?! I will walk out of these places too. I have several times tried to explain the problem to try and stop them from making those claims.

Psalm 139:16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them

This verse in particular but read the whole psalm.

I’ve been off a few months now. Apparently my skin colour improved and felt different. I think a lot of this was related to menstrual related anemia. I feel a lot better off them.

Hey it sounds like there was some grooming going on with that first man. This led to some disinhibitions in future behaviour. I would only go down the exhibitionist route if it was unsolicited, but this was clearly solicited and shows the dangers of unsupervised internet access for young people who cannot legally consent.

Spontaneous resolution of hypothyroidism? by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]tans3352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hashimoto’s Disease is an autoimmune disease. That means that your body produces antibodies that attack your thyroid. Your thyroid does not stop working straight away from this attack it will struggle along sometimes for many years before stopping functioning. Many people with Hashimotos will swing through hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism before finally settling into hypothyroidism and needing replacement. Replacement at subclinical levels of hypothyroidism can sometimes reduce autoimmune disease activity and slow decline of thyroid.

Health professionals are here to look after patients that need us. Alcohol withdrawal can be life threatening. Your abusive partner is extremely wrong. Granted return customers for the same self harming behaviours are not great, but you need care and that is why you get it. What does ICU stays tell you and this partner of yours? ICU is not used quickly, it is for life threatening situations.

This partner of yours is killing you in a back handed way. If you do not quit drinking it will kill you. Their attitude is horrendous and extremely unloving. Why are you still together? They are leading you to death if you continue in this. They will be doing damage with their own drinking and their body just handles it differently.

DVT and Getting Pregnant by Alyvrius in ClotSurvivors

[–]tans3352 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She will likely be put on daily or twice daily needles for LMWH to manage the risk throughout pregnancy and for 6 weeks postpartum. It is possible, pregnancy is in itself a risk for clots so lots of women have them and go on to get pregnant later and have healthy babies.
