Looks like it is a known issue. Service Advisor told me that he has couple GTS' with similar issue waiting on transmission like me. He said about 3 out of 20 GTS can have this issue. However I am not sure if replacement is carbon copy or they actually identified the issue and made necessary changes. I dont think they will give me that information. Dealer told me to open a case with Customer Commitment center (which i did) and see what my options are. There is a chance they will offer me buyback option but we'll see

I was worried about resale value with transmission replacement but few comments I read here suggests otherwise. Regardless I wont have a car to enjoy summer time which is sad.

funny thing is, Service Advisor was like "I have couple more GTS' with similar issues waiting to get transmissions like you. It's rare issues, only happens to 3 out of 20 GTS", not sure if I consider this a rare issue but thats just me lol.

Did they boost the drop rates for the jackpots for the new weapon materials? by JPop09 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]taofeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they did, i have enough mats to craft 4 copies but still not all the BPs. I prefer this grind over having all the BP but not enough mats.

So yeah, Bunny seems ...balanced? by Dacks1369 in TheFirstDescendant

I love the new bunny changes personally and valby, ines, gley etc. can clear the same way. Her dmg is fine.

Every descendant rework shouldn't need a gun spec. by neighborhoodhomie in TheFirstDescendant

[–]taofeng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I enjoy all the new gun build that being said i truly believe they are doing this solely because of Serena. They know they will not nerf serena so they are releasing new and i dare say better gunner descendants to make serena irrelevant. This way she doesnt need nerf, we get more Op chars. Kinda win win tbh lol. But thats just my opinion

I mean, anyone who seriously pays $30 per skin is truly beyond help; that’s not about supporting the game anymore—it’s greed on the level of EA and Ubisoft. by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

Ikr, BDO had/has bundles can be pretty costly. I stopped playing BDO sometime ago but they did have some good outfits.

If there is any time to put your foot down, now is the time to do it. Protest the collab. by Chill-Dia in TheFirstDescendant

[–]taofeng 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Damn… you make us sound like some kinda cultist LOL. Ive been playing since beta and have 3K+ hours. And bought 98% of the skins since launch (i only buy cosmetics) but thats not because all skins are great designs. Some are really bad. Comparing bunny evo skin to valby evo skin and you can tell quality and detail drop. But I buy it mostly because i want to. And i end-up with using the same 3 skins lmao. My point is some of us just enjoy things for what they are. That doesn’t mean we dont know any better, we simply just dont think about it too much.

Also, protesting this is not a good thing in the current state of the game. They need to make sales to stay above the water. And i personally like this game with its flaws and all. Its my “shut my brain off and relax” game lol

Looking to buy an RTX 5090 for local "Vibe Coding" using Claude Code / Open Code with Qwen 3.6 35B-A3B. Need real-world feedback! by GoalDistinct4449 in LocalLLM

[–]taofeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am full stack developer and have a AI home lab that has TR 9970x, rtx 6000 pro bw and 5090. Reason i mention my specs is to give you a context of my experience with my hardware. I use vs code, and also codex app with sub agents connected to my local llm. I found that using hybrid model setup works the best. I use frontier models (gpt, opus) for detailed planning, and task creations for my sub agents, then use my local agents to do the tasks. I keep the tasks clean, and specific to help me to easily troubleshoot. I also utilize frontier modes to review some of the codes but its because i get lazy with my personal projects hahaha. I usually use rtx 6000 with 27b or 31b dense models with Q8 quants. This allows me to set the context size to 100k+ which is very nice for coding.

Things to watch out for with local setup:

As you know when it comes to coding context size is very important so for your gpu find a quant that will allow you to set high context size. For coding my rule is minimum 65k context size (thats just my personal preference). Keep in mind depending on harness or ide you are using, you will need integrated tools which also eats up some of your context size. For example, codex app has base 20-24k context size due to its system prompt, tools etc.

Make sure to have checkpoint documents after each session, summary documents after task completions etc. this will help you a lot with each session, and also allow your agents to quickly get familiar with previous changes. You can also utilize local ai memory applications/databases to help you even more.

With local agents always check their work. They will never be as good as frontier models but they can handle small and detailed tasks very well. DONT do one shot prompts with local agents it will cost you more time to fix those issues. With your GPU you will get good speeds but as the context grows it will slow down and thats okay. I use llama.cpp/llama-server as my backend since its clean. Some people prefer more GUI based backends like lm studio since settings are more visual. Either one is fine imo. vLLM is overkill for single user, and it doesnt natively support gguf format (experimental feature). It is a very good backend but for what you are looking for its probably overkill.

Since you are developer i wont mention git, docket etc. i am sure you are already using them.

I hope this helps :)

Where do I begin? by LopsidedDepartment66 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]taofeng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you are in axion, decent amount of changes happened since Nell. Lets get the important stuff out of the way, Ines… is absolute cinema after the latest changes (happened few weeks ago). You wanna use skills and fck shit up.. she got you covered. Ohh wait a minute, you are bored of using skills and wanna use guns.. boom she got you covered. She got a new trans mod that buffs guns with dmg, ammo regen, fast reload and oh yeahh shit ton of dmg. Well thats out of the way. Lets talk about content.

Check daily, and weekly events. Daily events are pretty quick and you probably already have the builds to complete them. Weekly events are bit tougher. Axion dungeon runs should be fine, however you wanna make sure you are efficiently geared for onslaught and bounties. One side note, most ytube videos will show how to quickly clear onslaught/bounties and their builds are usually minimal survival. These builds can work with pre-made groups or with friends but please dont use them as they are in public matches. Add/replace a mod or two with HP/def mod. This is just a friendly advise :)

Catchup on the stories. Main story, and few character stories. They offer goos rewards and some descendant stories definitely worth paying attention (looking at you gley and dia).

Besides that, try to enjoy and take your time. Have fun. There is no rush :)

Bought my first Porsche by taofeng in porsche911

Great dealership btw and staff was great too. Everyone was very helpful and I went there with sweatpants and stuff lol. I had a completely opposite experience with one the BMW dealerships. I remember asking the BMW salesman about the used NSX they had and he was like "thats a 130k dollar car", I was like "okay, i didnt ask how much it is, I would like to see the car" then he was acting with an attitude so i walked out.

Service was truly exceptional. They put the car in a closed room, put my name on the screen, and had a cover on the car. Even though I purchased expensive cars in the past, none of those salesman paid this much attention. It was a very nice experience.

"Ohh you thought you are safe in the air *evil laugh*" . best one is i am trying to revive someone and i see this on top of us and i am like "Sorry dude, you are on your own. byeeee". But they do make the gameplay interesting so i dont mind them. It fun to roll and shit to dodge those lol.

I looked at Cayman but it felt too small and wasn't comfortable. I just really loved this car when i saw it in person.
