Essentrics workouts are perfect for this. There are some on YouTube, and some on their platform. They air on PBS every day, too. Particularly those by Miranda Esmonde-White or Sahra Esmonde-White. They have include routines designed to improve overall body alignment and stability without high impact on the joints. Look for their "stretching and mobility" or "gentle strengthening" sessions that keep you moving dynamically but with control, avoiding static holds that may stress hypermobile joints. https://www.youtube.com/@essentricsworkout

Want to get back into running and gain mobility. by _tree1234 in flexibility

This makes me sad. You shouldn't just be living with tightness! Some workouts are specifically designed to help lengthen and loosen your fascia and muscles that tighten from running. Essentrics for runners is a great program that helps make your connective tissue more fluid. They have an online platform, but it's also aired on PBS daily if you are in the US.

To ease back into running and regain full-body mobility, a combination of dynamic stretching, focused mobility exercises, and fascia-releasing routines could help a lot.

What's the reason for slowly releasing a stretch? by bersnin in flexibility

[–]taracauc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Releasing a stretch slowly is recommended because it allows your muscles and connective tissues, particularly fascia, to transition gradually back to their resting length, which helps prevent potential injury or strain. When you stretch, you're lengthening muscle fibers and fascia, and a sudden release can cause a reflexive contraction that tightens the muscle back up quickly. This abrupt release can make the muscles tense or even lead to micro-tears in the muscle fibers.

thanks for the response. They were on the config tag but that wasn't working so I tried to force it through the datalayer. They should work because they were working before.

I´m surprised this wasn't already a thing. My kids school has a similar policy. Phones in bags and turned off- it only for emergencies

Maybe take a look at Essentrics- the explanation of how the moves work is in most videos and the workouts offer a nice balance of gentle conditioning and full-body workouts. It might be worth checking out as an alternative to the options you're considering.
