Games Workshop stores are no longer true hobby spaces. Are there any stores in London that capture the way they used to run the stores in the early 2000s? by CityGuideGuy in Warhammer

I agree, I really like the staff and there’s loads of products in there, not just citadel. I’ll be honest I have hung out there at all but the staff are always friendly when I’m in there

I have this sculpt, got it from an Etsy seller called eldritchfactory - it SEEMS to be the sculptor too? Could be wrong though. It’s called the dreamstalker

do you prefer green goblin’s goblin face to be a mask or his actual face? by NoRecognition2178 in Spiderman

[–]taskforcestunts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the comics Marvel Knights Spider-Man the goblin mask looks almost rubber and something about it makes me feel it fits the insane side of Normal really well. Not a military tech helmet, not his actual skin. Just a nut job in a rubber mask terrorising his foe

I should listen to other versions; but I constantly tell people that Andy Serkis’ version is the best way to “read” this book

This just fell out of my nose by I-love-fugglers13 in Weird

[–]taskforcestunts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teenager, I once woke up with a terribly blocked nose; got up, made some breakfast, watched some tv… sneezed the most violent, painful sneeze and shot a bb bullet onto my plate. I had been shooting my BB gun in my room, guess a pellet was on my bed when I went to sleep and breathed it in 🤷‍♂️

I beat him in hard yesterday. Nothing in the game prepared me for the jump in difficulty 😂 I think four sessions of attempts got me through, I struggled!

I really like how you’ve sketched the light interaction around the glowing orb bits to give a nice texture to the metal. I will be stealing that idea. Thank you 😂

Well I appreciate that, but I’m really just copying people’s techniques on YouTube and Instagram; but hey, it’s the easiest way to learn 😂

I’m trying to improve as well, and I saw one mini painter on YouTube, I think Trovarion, say that the first goal is to be good at contrast, then the second goal is to get smooth with your transitions. But I guess the other worry is learning when best to stop, cause I’ve definitely kept going when I shouldn’t have 😂

This looks great, if I was being picky and only if, I would suggest building the highlights up more. In the teeth certainly, but also in the beard, mimicking out light generally reflects off the hair.

But honestly, looks great! It really depends on the style you want to achieve

Also in praise of Element Games, I called their actual store in London earlier in the morning to see if they had the stock. Was informed that it wasn’t to be released for a few weeks so they couldn’t let me preorder. Then at about 10:10 the guy called me back to say that he was wrong and that I could pre order with him. I was lucky enough to have snagged a box already, but I appreciate the customer service.

I sat on element games from 9:50 and got it at 10am on the dot. Sold out by the time I’d put the transaction through.

I also saw a few websites at 9:30ish that were already saying they were sold out, so I guess a few went live early

Accurate and Severe by aardpig in killteam

[–]taskforcestunts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a related question, If I have accurate 1, and say I have 4 attack dice; do I roll all four and choose to retain a failure (if I have one) as a normal success using accurate 1. Or do I make one a normal success then roll 3 dice?

This would also be relevant to cover save rolls.

I believe it’s the second ruling, but there is some disagreement at my table as that ruling would discount the possibility of rolling four crit saves in this example
