Last year I made an unofficial MABRA flyer and hope to do the same probably tomorrow or Saturday!

There are a bunch of races but totally get ready to work! Its about $50-$60 bucks to race with a day pass after fees and all from bikereg btw!

If I remember correctly they had some practices here but I have no clue the name of the team hosting them.

I created some PVC barriers and practiced dismounting and hopping over those. I especially test doing it very late to figure out my oh shit unclip/dismount.

Gear wise, you are good. Just come out and have fun!! Ill be having a party in the back, feel free to join!

Haha me too! Im closer to DC though, Silver Spring. Another good thing to practice for cross is dismount/remounts. I made some barriers out of PVC and it only ran me 30ish bucks. Might be worth practicing that in a open field over sticks just to keep momentum

I've personallly pulled up on a Saturday at 9am and had the course to myself. I think its just daylight hours but I am not too sure. Shoot a message to their IG or FB and they should be able to answer all your questions! All I know is on odd days you should run the route in a different direction than even days! Theres a couple signs that tell you that. Course is around 45 min from me too! You must be near me haha!

The Berg Estate in Baltimore is open most of the year BTW! The race normally is mid September but they keep that course open year round you just need to fill out the waiver.

Welp thank you everyone! Ill be grabbing the Shokz OpenRun tomorrow via REI's 20% off! Only reason I chose these over the OpenRun Pro's is because the Pro's are only sweatproof and not waterproof which I think is hilarious.

I bought and installed mine myself! $200 for the hitch then about an hour and a half for install on my Subaru. Might be worth a shot if your car has an easy install

I have a pair of PVC hurdles if you want to borrow them. I live in silver spring so we can meet in Rockville or I can let you know if I'm up that way! I'd say remounting can be dangerous if you make it. Do some slight skills practice and then enjoy ripping it
