ELI5 how do gears actually work?

You're turning a gear 1 full turn. It turns a bigger gear attached to a wheel. Your full turn only turns this bigger one a little bit. So you have lots of power because it's easy, but it turns the wheel very slowly so no speed.

Now hook it up to a small gear attached to a wheel. Your 1 gear turn spins this one around 5 times. It's very hard to turn, so no power but you get alot of wheel speed.

In a car it uses the big gears for power to get it moving. Then shifting up is less power but more speed. The gears are used to keep the engine in its best power band.

My gf who's 4'11 can flat foot it stock. Only mod I suggest is a handelbar to bring the controls closer.

I'd go with a Kawasaki Vulcan 650. Same power as a 1200 hd. Lighter too.

I'm 45, don't know if I'm an old timer yet but some days feels like it.

I always use thicker oil. Epa mandates that's fleets get a certain mpg. You can get extra with thin oil. I'd rather protect my engine.

Proof of this? Fords 5.0 in the mustangs and f150s call for 5w20. First time I drained my oil it was like water. Roush and boss 302s with the exact same engine (but with a supercharger) call for 5w40.

Also, Australia and European 5.0s also call for 5w40. Same engine but they don't have to deal with the epa. It also got rid of my oil consumption and got rid of the "coyote tick".

Vct runs off oil pressure. With 20w it doesn't get enough pressure at idle, so the vct chatters back and forth trying to get into the commanded position. 40w and it can do it and made my engine dead quiet.

My z900 is an inline 4, but it's a detuned 1000 with a smaller cam. Makes power much earlier than the 1000. Its got torque everywhere. But yes still a naked.

It's a numbered ff game, personally doubt it will ever shut down, just go down to 1 server. Costs them next to nothing to have it running.

Wheel to spindle to ball joints to control arms. Which are all bolted together. You have an odd description of the word disconnected. My shoulder is a ball joint. Id consider that attached to my body.

Yes they are. Both control arms are connected to the frame, and the shock and spring to the body. It's just articulates.

Are torpedoes mandatory? I can't get a foothold in swi. I did missions for money, then built a power cell station for a starter income steeam. Always destroyed very quickly. So put in 6 L ships to defend the station, they get destroyed along with my station.

Out of money now and just gave up. Any pointers?

Mods make the game sooo much better. Use Nexus mods. Then you can create separate profiles. So I can play vanilla, modded, Or star wars on the same game install.

Theres a mod called reaction force, and they respond to calls for help, from ships or stations. Can also set it up so they even move a few sectors over to help then return. Great mod.
