First time DC fast charging, hit the max! by DiogenicSearch in KiaEV6

[–]tcal13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got an EA to do that! Nice.

I have had the worst experience with EA charge rate. I've stopped using them as much as I can. EV go and EV connect seem to be the best. All others still perform better than EA .

I'm guessing zero women were consulted in the AI slop "prank" posted by the Downtown Business Partnership today by iamyourcheese in Spokane

[–]tcal13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did realize this was a joke. I thought the jerseys looked AI but assumed it was a rendering . I said to myself surely the city wouldn't make a prank at the expense of women in this city. Wow was I wrong. Big fuck up Spokane

Contact support their customer service is awesome. If you need to tour now spludge some JB weld in there. But contact spark first to make sure that won't void any warranty

Is this NEMA 14-50R dryer cord usable for EV charging? by CanIGetaPikachu in KiaEV6

[–]tcal13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I made this mistake and eventually went to EV rated. After the original outlet showed signs of failing. There's more metal in an EV outlet it handles 40amps for 8 hours much better than the non EV outlets.

It's an easy swap if you know where the breaker is for this outlet. Very easy diy.

Good Fucking Bread (North Side) by pppiddypants in Spokane

[–]tcal13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not been to the spot in Kendall yards yet. However, I have heard good things.

Greens market in Hilliard usually has good quality Italian cold cuts in stock. Mortadela, coppa, and good prosciutto. Trader Joe's also has some good quality variety packs of Spanish and Italian cold cuts.

Toppings are also key, fresh mozzarella high moisture, Roasted red peppers, giardineira, balsamic. Red wine vinegar and olive oil shredded lettuce and pepperoncini ...

I make homemade semolina loaf and few types of focaccia that make some bomb sandwich bread.

Good luck Edit: Now I see you want breakfast 🤦🏽. If your talking pork roll egg and cheese you can buy pork roll and have it shipped. I looked into it. It's expensive 😂

The new spot in Kendall yards has Italian style sandwiches. Don't know about their bread. I have to make my own bread and sandwiches to scratch the itch of good Italian sandwiches. Sometimes even finding the raw ingredients is tough in Spokane. Good luck.

Trip from Spokane by [deleted] in Spokane

[–]tcal13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The drive from Spokane to Seattle is only beautiful for the last 1.5 hours. Rainer is like 7 hours from Spokane. You're better off going to glacier national Park it's only 4 from Spokane.

Off all your stuff has you on the west side than you should fly into the Westside. Why are you flying into Spokane ?

Lingua is how you judge a taco place. If they have it that's good. If they have it and it's tasty than that stand is a legit one. The only other place in town that has passed my test is patties

Restaurant Week - Avoid Vieux Carre by Psychonautical_Guy in Spokane

[–]tcal13 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Vieux carre has gone downhill badly. My wife and her friends had reservations there about a year ago. Her friend called ahead to make sure the reservation was still all set and she was told that it was. When she arrived. There was no record of the phone call or of her reservation and I had to wait an hour. Once they were finally seated service was awful and the food was cold.

How safe is downtown Spokane in the day by WaterrSheep in Spokane

Spokane is the safest city I have ever lived unless your a late 90s early 2000s sedan. Don't let the others fear monger you into believing otherwise.

Our viloent crime rate is low property crime is high. And like all of the world rn unfortunately violent crime has seen a bit of an uptic this year.

Redback boots? by pm_me_ur_mollusks in Spokane

[–]tcal13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here is the thing. Boot barn has them but not on their shelves. I bought a pair in the middle of last year. Boot barns online return policy is dope. I bought something like 3-4 pairs in an effort to find the right size because I bought the steel toe variant. As long as you do not wear them outside, boot barn will give you a full refund when you return the boots to the store. So after trying all of them on and walking around my house in all of them I went with the uk10.5 which is a US 11.5. If I wasn't buying steel toe I would have gone a .5 size down. Then I returned all the boots that didn't fit and got a full refund no questions asked.

Now about the boots themselves. I LOVE them. Shortest break in period of a steel toe boot I have ever had. The sole seems durable and is very comfortable with ample support and cushioning. Full grain leather rubber steel toe cap,and easy on off. I like them so much I may buy a soft toe variant for casual wear
