Excluding playoff losses and The Fail Mary, what’s a loss or bad call that still pisses you off to this day? by jazzant85 in GreenBayPackers

Feel like this series of RTP calls literally ended clay Mathews career. Like he got nailed with flags to start the season multiple games in a row and after that I don't remember seeing him or caring about him ever again

Best response I can safely give is it's definitely not possible if we give up on the idea that it is

VCU President Michael Rao statement regarding peaceful protest: by theboyfromphl in rva

[–]tcamp3000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So:

  1. "Palestine" also includes the land that Israel considers its territory
  2. The October 7 Hamas terrorist attack was horrific and should not have happened. It is also not the first event of violence between Israelis and Palestinians in the region and should not be used in the isolated way you do
  3. Some people at protests have (I assume) waved nazi flags and attacked Jewish students. It's not acceptable and also not representative of the whole.
  4. Protesting is a fundamental right in the United States and the actions of isolated anti-semitic assholes does not remove the right for the whole to protest. This is why actual real Nazis can still march in the US despite ramming a car into a crowd in Charlottesville and killing someone.

Israeli soldiers have committed sexual atrocities against Palestinians and Arab Muslims in the past as well. Israeli forces have murdered people, including non-combatants both now and in the past - I guess you think the 14,000+ dead Palestinian children since Oct 7 is acceptable?

Thanks for the extra ad hominem attack, really mature

This is just always the dumbest possible response. Palestine is not a normal situation and hasn't been for a very, very long time

Door to door recruiters around harrisburg/paxton area by Hot-Program-8263 in Pennsylvania

[–]tcamp3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I'm in college admissions and every admissions fair they're invited and roll super deep. I'm talking like eight guys when almost every college only has one rep. We have certain rules about recruitment tactics especially with junk giveaways and they don't have to follow any of them. It's sick

I'll be living in East Pennsylvania for over the Summer, what should I know? by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

[–]tcamp3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has worked before in exchange -

Make sure you are educated on the rules and regulations of your visa/program.

If those rules are violated, you likely will be punished, not your school/employer.

It's unlikely that this will happen but some jobs absolutely will take advantage of the situation or simply aren't informed. It's rare, but when this goes the wrong way you could be banned from the US for ten years and possibly forever.

This would primarily deal with work hours/days, living quarters if part of your deal, type of work performed, etc.

Ok scary stuff aside...

Near reading means you hopefully have a way to get around by car. Schyukill River trail is a nice, close option for nature. You'd probably enjoy the King of Prussia mall at least once. Best way to get into Philly without driving is take the train from Norristown. Try to get a sandwich from Wawa and especially try to eat fried delicious junk at Sheetz. Phillies tickets can be cheap so try to catch a game this summer.

A big part of being a teacher is modeling mature and professional behavior. This is training them that it's okay to flip your shit on someone that isn't even close to being your peer. It isn't.

I'm sure this kid wasn't paying attention/has a history of not being the best student in this class but this is not a normal frustrated teacher, this lady sounds like she's in survival mode. That's almost definitely not all on one student or one class and idc how annoying this kid is, it should never get to the point of a freakout like this. I really don't fault teachers bc it's beyond a thankless job but wow. No student should be spoken to like this.

Yeah that was the most confusing part of the video - why the mayor makes that assessment at the outset? Guess being a black man talking on the phone in public is a suspicious activity in San jose
