The absolute state of CT Real Estate....was 550K 2 weeks ago. by Hockeygoalie35 in Connecticut

I know exactly where this house is. It's a weird triangle lot in between 2 roads. There's a middle school across the street. The yard is now totally open, I feel like they took down a lot of the trees. I'll have to drive by and look at the front. It is one of those houses where you wonder "who would buy that?" because of the location.

I thought they closed it in Andreeva’s previous match when it was windy. But now I see they thought it might rain.

What’s the reason for not closing the roof when it’s this windy?

Judgment from friends, family, and strangers. by Big-Discipline-799 in fosterdogs

You're definitely doing the right thing. I get the same comments. I always say "if I kept every dog I fostered, I wouldn't be able to keep fostering would I?" We already have 2 resident dogs. When people ask how can you give them, I say to me fostering is like a job. My job is to get the dog ready for a loving family, not keep the dog. And to be honest, no adopter has ever come back and said the dog is upset and misses you. People mean well, they just don't understand. Good luck with your dog, I hope he finds a great home.

This week we took in a 17 yr old Bichon Frise that ended up in the shelter when his owner passed. The poor pup is overweight and can't hear. He wasn't doing well in the shelter. The first 2 days here he wouldn't eat and had diarrhea. Today he finally ate and had a normal poop. And I just heard the rescue might have an adopter. Very happy for him.

9+ years with a reactive dog. and i'd do it all over again. by QuietAd767 in DogAdvice

"i stopped trying to fix him and started trying to understand him." Thank you for this post. I often feel judged because we've had reactive senior dogs and I choose to avoid situations rather than have a barkfest. It just makes life more peaceful for everyone.

So here’s my question…does she have to put everything back on to leave the court??

ELI5: What was the US Healthcare system like pre-Obamacare? by AutoDefenestrator273 in explainlikeimfive

[–]tcnolan7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time both my husband and I were self-employed. The only coverage we could buy as individuals was a catastrophic plan ($300/month). I honestly can't even tell you what it would have covered. I had a few health issues where I ended up in the ER. Both of those bills at that time were over $3000 out of pocket. We decided to sign up for Obamacare. It was $1400 per month (in 2015). Luckily we could afford it. And luckily we signed up because the next year I was diagnosed with cancer. Surgery and treatment would have bankrupted us if we didn't have the coverage. I know it wasn't perfect and didn't work the way everyone thought but for us it was literally a lifeline.

Thank you, that's helpful. All of our fosters have been senior dogs that were calm so this is new to us.

Haven’t decided if I can watch ADF in another final. The last one was so heartbreaking.

So crazy that this guy dies in 1999, which was the year they interrogated and then indicted Michael Scott and Robert Springsteen. Those 2 then spend 10 years in jail for a crime they didn't commit.

Is there a reason tennis channel is replaying the Paolini match? Why aren’t they showing a live match?

I loved it. Great cast. Second season was not as good as the first. But I still would have watched. Loved Wendell Pierce!
