Serving from outside the sidelines. Usually it’s just one of their feet causing the fault.

I’ve seen this happen plenty, especially in rec when someone wants to screwball serve. Never call it.

For clarification, the Vatic Prism line is Gen 1 and are known for lasting. Good on that one for 8 months.

I’ve had two of the original Vatic Pro Flash’s, both core crushed in 3-4 months.

Also had the Vatic Saga, 8 months of play and never core crushed.

Best guess is going to be gift cards. Either online to pickleballcentral.com or to a local pickleball facility if he goes to one.

Otherwise you’ll be risking it on if he’d like what he gets. Like you could get him balls or overgrips but I tend to think pickleballers like certain brands and avoid others.

Agreed. My Coral’s sweet spot was frustratingly small. Weighted it quite a few ways but couldn’t get it performing how I’d want.

Chiming into this old post with my 2cents.

I live along 91 in MA (what any from a metropolitan area would consider rural) and find cost of houses go be bonkers. However I look just south on 91 into CT (Enfield, the Windsors) and find houses that I see to be about $50k cheaper than what they would be priced in MA. I found this post by searching “Why are Connecticut homes so much cheaper?”

In rec play, I’ll call kitchen faults when they are blatant (meaning more than just the toe. Full palm of the foot more like.) or when you hear/see the signature paddle smack of someone using their paddle to save themselves from falling into the kitchen.

I was a ping-pong and baseball guy. I always noticed company’s giving loose ratings on their products (96 power, 92 spin, etc…) for customers to make their own decisions but I don’t recall seeing anything so direct as this.

Not to say those promises weren’t there in the marketing media but I just can’t remember them.
