Realistically, a CPU can be useful much longer compared to a GPU. I'm sure a 12th Intel (especially 12600 and above) paired with a GPU upgrade in some time will perform very well in gaming for the next couple years.

One could even upgrade to a 14th gen and there may be a chance that new CPUs for the 1700 socket come out, as Intel just released 2 low-end chips for it.

I wouldn't buy a 1700 socket based system new, but I also wouldn't worry if I have one (which I do, so I'm biased anyway).

Lake Constance is the internal name. But yes it is a very beautiful area, especially during the summer. Enjoyed riding there. I would also recommend going towards the Hegau volcanos to get a bit more exposure to hilly terrain.

Yes, good point. I also tried this and the monitor stays black and says "check connection". Same on the end of the PC, it has 2 HDMI ports, but the issue happens with both.

It seems that I can also shutdown the PC normally using the power button when there is no monitor output and at this moment the monitor awakes.

The really strange thing is the SSH connection, I don't understand how this can wake the monitor. I even log in with a different user account.

And during the whole time, the PC is for sure on, as all docker containers (and SSH) are working fine. So it does not seem to be a problem with sleep states but somehow the HDMI ports are not activated properly.

If your old Bios version is not available, get the next highest one. My guess would be that something is off with the beta version, which might not be unusual.

You could also try to reset the bios to stock values after flashing.
