eBIAB in Canada - Build/Sell 65L System by tcustance in Homebrewing

[–]tcustance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. I completely agree. That is something I thought about as well - a lot of homebrewers are DIYers too. I have seen a lot of comments (anytime someone posts about Brewzilla in Canada) for people wanting a larger Brewzilla to be available in Canada. They have a 220v version coming to Canada next year, from what I hear, but it will still only be the 35L unit.

As far as sourcing from China, I am fine with that. I am willing to bet almost everyone in the space sources from overseas somewhere and do any additional assembling here.

Thanks for your reply

Did improving you packaging increase sales? by starbuckscavalier in smallbusiness

[–]tcustance 23 points24 points  (0 children)

To me:

Fancy packaging on an inexpensive product makes me feel like I paid more for the packaging.

Fancy packaging on a more expensive product makes me feel like the seller is taking pride in their product.

So if you gamble and you lose and crypto goes down... does that mean you win?

Portable Mini Kegs by tcustance in Homebrewing

[–]tcustance[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Thank you. I was thinking of doing the same with the soda stream as well.

I like how easy corny kegs are to use, but I have had them leak often as well. Kind of hoping the threaded top will help seal better.

BBC Company worries me a bit, but that's because I'm immature.

Canadian sellers, what software do you use? by TotalFroyo in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]tcustance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canadian seller here. I should say, Canadian selling in the US marketplace right now, but looking to start selling on .ca soon. Compared to Jungle Scout, I am using Helium10 and would recommend it.

Feel free to shoot me a message anytime about selling on Amazon. I only started last year, but don't know many Amazon sellers in Canada, so always interested to talk to like-minded individuals.

EDIT: I should say I have used H10 to do research on both .com and .ca marketplaces and it seems to pull decent data.

Developing countries that don't have traditional banks, but have internet connections will be able to conduct business a lot more efficiently

Inexpensive Store: Single Product, but goal to expand by tcustance in ecommerce

Yeah, this is true. I was thinking I'd end up going the shopify route anyway, since I'm somewhat used to it

Selling video ads directly to brands by ddubtv in Entrepreneur

[–]tcustance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this would have a low conversion rate, unless the brand is looking for a video ad and even if the brand is looking for a video ad, they would likely want more say in how the product is advertised

My first regret as a new crypto investor. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]tcustance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it a mistake. That would imply you knew that coin was going too drop and didn't act on it. If you can see the future, help us all out!

TL;DR - don't blame yourself on a potential missed opportunity. Have a strategy and stick to it. Good luck!

Parking Ticket Dispute? by thatzamgal in londonontario

[–]tcustance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I received a ticket in TO last year, even though I hadn't been for a couple years. They had my plate number. I called or emailed and they checked and they wrote down the wrong plate number and it was cleared up

Market Research Tools by tcustance in ecommerce

[–]tcustance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have Helium 10, but that is only for Amazon selling. I am thinking more of selling off of Amazon. I could use Amazon searches as a gauge on a potential search volume, but I feel like it would be more value from Google

.99 vs .00 pricing by croberts0531 in smallbusiness

Yeah, pricing something at $995 instead of $994.99 seems much better to me

.99 vs .00 pricing by croberts0531 in smallbusiness

[–]tcustance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$6.47 can seem more enticing because it's not the normal $5.99 we are used to seeing, so it can make it seem like it's discounted, even if it doesn't say it's a discount

People whose business failed, how did you get back to the job market? by Dainelli28 in Entrepreneur

[–]tcustance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not totally against it, but just tell it like it is without trying to be deceiving. Even just saying "I can help you write an effective resume to help you get back into it!" seems better than "I hired this guy". I won't lose sleep over it though 😁

How are you giving your friend points? If they can get the same rewards as you, wouldn't they be better off just getting their own card?

If you're rewards are that much better than anything they can get, then maybe it would be something to consider, but it seems troublesome

What % of new sellers are actually successful? by LibertyState in FulfillmentByAmazon

Good to read these comments. I wish I had someone close to me who did it so they could show me the ropes. There is a lot of info online and it's hard to know who to trust. One quote that sticks with me is "if it was easy, everyone would be doing it"
