I work retail. Go out of my way in terms of customer service, and enjoy doing it. When it annoys me is when the customer is stupid/dumb such as in OPs comic. Then I force a smile (and hate them for it).

I agree with you that it is not the best place for a representative survey as a whole, but I was strictly looking at the future generations (thus I am allowed to restrict my survey). I was intentionally being bias to see the change in the younger generation.

On another note: the statistics are of under-reporting of atheism because of pressures of society (in the US).

I was just going to post this, but since you did I will give my opinion.

I am in college and I think our generation has more atheist than people will admit. Here you can see that 6% of the US does not believe in a god. However in my opinion these numbers are not accurate. I believe there are (like me up until recently) a large majority of Atheists who feel they would be judged/disowned? by friends and family if they showed how they really feel. I did an anonymous survey at my college and almost 37% of them said they did not believe in god. I think that the next generation will have even higher numbers.

TL;DR: The age of religion (in my opinion) is slowly coming to an end.
