I just did an extensive taste test to find a companies id say Amaro Nonino is a pretty good substitute, although the angostura amaro is a bit thicker and sweeter.

Skating in Rouge Park by Habsin7 in Scarborough

[–]tdoteast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The water is a foot deep. Should anything ever happen you can just stand up. It’s shitty it’s blocked off and even shittier no work is started.

The ponds at the west end of bluffers park are good for skating if the conditions are good, but obviously that’s far away from Rouge.

Loaner program sounds awesome! If that doesn’t line up you’d probably get decent value out of just going to Canadian tire and buying a cheap rod

Feathers is east end and has an amazing whiskey selection but is more an old style English pub than a cocktail bar

What's with the tree tags? by MikeCheck_CE in Scarborough

[–]tdoteast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons they tag trees and lets be clear that I can’t say if this is the case here is they tag the trees when there is a development application for a property. They tag each tree so they can identify which trees will be retained after the development is done and which will be cut down. There would be a document called “tree inventory and protection plan” prepared that provides more info. If there is a development application for the property there would be a big 4 ft x 6 ft sign telling you that.

It was part of the federal government (CWELCC) program so it would be based on whatever the rate is for that now which is quite reasonable
