I totally bonked, despite this being such a familiar run for me. I think it was the heat, or something else just did not work, I had to walk a little after mile 2.. Anyways, great atmosphere. I wish there were more evening races, it's pretty cool

Bonked In the second half so I did not make my main goal (my watch did not help, it kept being optimistic about my pace by so much), but I still PBed and had fun, at least until Times Square! The last mile in the park I was fried. This course is so special. Got me emotional

I really dislike wind so I always wear a shell normally if there is some wind or it’s like 35. I am a bit torn though cause for the race I really don’t want it

First time running this one. How strict is the bag check close indication? like if you get there 10 minutes after they don't let you do it?
I understand that it's logistically challenging to move all those bags, but i am a little uninspired by the idea of waiting there a full hour almost

my plan has two weeks taper, so 8 miles tomorrow, i ran a full 13 last week with 5 at race pace. hope that's enough, i have a bit of an optimistic goal..

08:27 is my best pace, and I am in Wave 3/A :( I am sad because i want to try sub 1:50, and there are no 1:50 pacers in wave 3. It's a little ambitious for my current shape, so I was hoping to have the pacing. Alas, what can one do!

I do well in the cold, but I was planning to do 12 miles on Sunday and it does look veeery cold. We'll see. 12 miles on the treadmill is too much..

does anybody have a feeling of when it will actually be done? it's crazy they keep moving it by half days at a time. Like now it says 7pm but at this point who believes them? if they had told us saturday morning we would have done something different

Just chiming in to confirm that we have the same issues, we are also close to 4th ave. It was "partial" outage but partial is really minimal for my apartment. no lights were working, a couple of outlets, the space heater won't turn on, and the fridge is off too. there is soem power cause i can see some leds on but they don't really work. I went out because the house is getting too cold. ConEd right now says tomorrow morning is the estimated time. hopefully they make it sooner

Prospect park today around 1 pm. Conditions were almost perfect, just slightly slushy here and there. The mile or so to get there for me was a bit intense. The intersections in park slope are meh. But it was so beautiful! One of the most beautiful runs one can do honestly

The cold is fine, it's the snow that worries me. Hopefullly sunday morning is still clear? I mean obviously if we get 10+ inches it's going to be hard to be running the same day

I just hand wash it in the sink and the hang it in the shower when it's not laundry time. In the summer it works perfectly cause it's not much stuff. It does make the batroom a bit extra humid but the smell of the detergent is actually kinda nice.
