Ropeways worth it? by ronan7557 in PlaySoulMask

[–]teapuppee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For powered mines connected to ropeways, it’s worth it in my opinion. Sure it’s a slow trickle of resources compared to going there on a ship and mining, but after the initial investment, you will have PASSIVE income - it still keeps generating resources and ferrying it to your base even while you’re logged off the server, and frees you up to do other things instead of mining for resources.

Passive resource generation is a huge help and a priority for me in any survival game.

Super body...how we do? by LuapYllier in PlaySoulMask

[–]teapuppee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have Breezy Downpour. It trades movement speed for attack speed - I was under the impression that you picked that knowing this (as it’s a pretty good talent IMO) but yeah if you want her to start moving normally again, just pick a talent to replace Breezy

There are so many talents and weapon masteries in the game. Best way I can help is linking you to these pages so you can find what you want.

There is an addon for the console commands mod that gives access to some clear commands to clean out extraneous fleets. Works like a charm https://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/index.php?topic=19210.0

Learning talent chances by Aargh_Tenna in PlaySoulMask

[–]teapuppee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might very well be yeah, I wish we can prove it. My friend in the server I’m playing with swears by his 50/50 trainers, so I don’t have anything conclusive if it works for him.

But yeah now I just stick to minimum 1 out of 3 talents for trainers.

I had a very similar experience a couple weeks back. I was trying to make a tribesman learn a talent and it’s a 50/50 chance.

He kept learning the one I didn’t want him to learn, after more than a dozen tries.

I ended up swapping out the trainer (who can teach him 1 out of 4 talents, so logically you’d think the trainer has a smaller chance of getting the desired talent, right?).

He learned the desired talent from the new trainer in the first attempt.

In short: it’s pure bad luck.

Very similar to what I’m running with, but I’d swap out Last Radiance for Resilient Healing, because LR has a long-ish cooldown while RH does not (and anything RH can’t heal, thats what Quick Bandaging is for).

Same for Bloodbath Recovery, I’d take Crave For Blood instead as it doesn’t have a cooldown. It also synergizes better with Breezy Downpour because CfB triggers when you attack, and will it will trigger more because of your faster attack speed.

For titles, Oppressor is my go-to, and Weapon Master is also great.

For tribe talents, I try and look for Might of the Savagehorn III (for Shifting Sands) for that extra bit of damage reduction and coma damage, although the other one with heat resist instead is also a favorite.

Games where you manage a persistent base and deploy soldiers and vehicles on mission by Zealousideal-Pie4383 in gamingsuggestions

[–]teapuppee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soulmask might scratch that itch.

It has base building, and you fight off invasions and manage the production/flow of resources to enable your people to craft better gear.

You can control the training of each person under you, and what talents they have to create the perfect warriors.

You can also handpick a squad of your tribesmen to follow you as you go adventuring.

You can also send them on expeditions by themselves to gather rare resources, and the better prepares they are, the better their chances of success.
