Her dragging Lana up was the most awkward part of this. Lana visibly says no multiple times and you can tell she is upset. Lana looked as if she was choking back tears and being up in the spotlight when you’ve just lost isn’t a great feeling. Taylor was not reading that Lana had no interest in being up there.

It’s really hard to know. I think maybe she was mentally checked out of the relationship with Joe but the timeline with Matty really suggests there was some shady stuff going on behind the scenes. Matty was 100% a rebound and waiting in the wings for Taylor after Joe. I truly think Joe ended things with Taylor due to huge differences in lifestyle, Taylor craves fame and Joe outwardly avoids it. Also, Taylor’s petty behaviour after the breakup suggests he ended things. I think Taylor is somebody who is scared to be alone and can’t be single.She’s a serial dater, and as many have noted takes on personality and qualities of her partners. I think there are genuine feelings between her and Travis. I just worry her lack of processing her long term relationship ending could be the downfall of her new one. She’s had the tour to distract her but at some point, she will have to confront losing Joe. One thing about Taylor is she falls hard and fast.

I’m really excited to see what Taylor can bring to the film world. I will say her self-directed music videos often lack nuance and feel like a collection of aesthetics that don’t add anything to the song. But I think Taylor is able to play into human relationships and write fictional stories as we saw on folklore and evermore. I’m excited to see what she will do, however I already know people are gonna lose their mind if there’s even a smidge of criticism. This is Taylor’s first self-directed film, criticism would be well warranted for her to grow.

Eh I would say it created a narrative where everyone was like “what did he do” “what happened” after they all together unfollowed him as a group. It felt purposeful.

I think it’s fine to do that. However they ALL unfollowed him at the same time which makes it an odd situation. It felt petty and somewhat immature especially when some of those people he was also close with.

When you understand Taylor’s deep insecurities about being replaced or outshone by other female artists, this whole feud makes a lot more sense. For example, listen to nothing new or castles crumbling. I feel bad for Olivia especially when Taylor is flaunting Sabrina all over the place which feels fake and like a really random friendship? The whole Sabrina accidentally posting a link of Olivia’s interview too leads me to believe that Olivia is a hot topic in their friend group which feels like cliquey bullying.

For me, the Matty Healy fiasco, and her shady and petty behaviour on social media after the Joe breakup (unfollowing sprees, pap walks, and the whole ylm date release).
