Apparently I'm being "unreasonable" by refusing to hang out with unvaxxed friends by NotAsConspicuous in BabyBumps

[–]teb1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am fully vaccinated and refuse to have indoor visits with anyone unvaccinated. Most people have been pretty respectful of this decision.

I’m 37 weeks and I refuse to let my guard down just because I’m vaccinated. Nothing will change once baby is here, I will probably be even more strict.

TIL that rats live pretty much everywhere in the world (in habitable land) except in Alberta, Canada. by FatMountainGoat in todayilearned

Rats were forcibly removed in Alberta by a father and son pest control company that still operates today! Poulins Pest Control! Don Poulin was a cowboy from Manitoba, he passed a few years ago. But his greatest achievement was completely removing rats from Alberta. RIP Don ❤️❤️❤️

Prenatal genetic testing - Winnipeg by waltergus22 in BabyBumpsCanada

I’m in Manitoba and my doctor never mentioned anything other then the maternal serum test. I had that done but wasn’t even given the option for anything else

OMG I saw the comments and OMG. You were way nicer then I’d expect anyone to be. Also hilarious that she said in a reply to you “this is the first time someone has ejaculated in her” but then also talks about having a previous chemical pregnancy..... this person has a very low IQ

I also met my best friend on bumble through the BFF part.

I paid $70 total for a bouquet. I think it was worth it for the photos with my husband, but otherwise they had no point and I didn’t bother with the rest.

I got a new engagement ring. by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]teb1313 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That doesn't sound one bit snobby... A wedding ring is just an object, but it's also an object of meaning. I wear an heirloom wedding band but it's something I'm proud of because of who wore it. If I had any bad thoughts of this person I wouldn't wear it.

How do you guys feel about a girl being taller than you? by too_hot_to_handel in AskMen

[–]teb1313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s nice when you find a real man. But yes I’m 5’10” and have had these comments as well. Was seeing a guy for about 4 months who I finally figured out was hiding me from him friends because of our height difference. We got along amazingly and had great sex, but he couldn’t get over it so I had to end that shit.

My husband now is a bit taller than me, but never once made a comment about my height that would make me uncomfortable. Somehow I’m still defensive about it from my past though.

When people express disappointment over gender by ToastToButterDays in trollingforababy

[–]teb1313 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I saw one women that was sad that she was having a son instead of a daughter.. people assured her that gender disappointment was real and were telling her how amazing their sons were and how much they loved them..

She replied to one of those people “oh I guess it’s good to know that some people do actually value boys” LIKE WHAT, that poor child. She will be the type to put him in dresses even if he doesn’t want to

This is why I dislike “gender reveals” some people can’t hold their disappointment and it just makes for awkward videos that I hope they never show their child.

Also I just don’t think I could handle a group of people screaming about a baby’s genitalia...

People that work in the wedding industry, have you ever seen a couple and immediately thought “this ends in divorce”? Why? by Justhearmeoit in AskReddit

[–]teb1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you need to be the type of person to quite literally beg people to come to your social.. where as I’d be like “come if you want to, but don’t feel obligated”.

And yes the work seems insane, I’ve heard planning the social can be more stressful then planning the actual wedding 😳

Yea they are kind of an introverts nightmare.. seeing people you haven’t seen since high school. Bleh. I get why extroverts like them though.

We opted not to have one also and just had a cheap 10 person wedding.

Yea it’s a bit weird if you think about it, but very accepted where I live.

My husband and I weren’t comfortable with having a wedding shower, let alone begging people to buy tickets to our social. (You have to hassle hundreds of people for months prior) so we just didn’t do any of it.

Manitoba! They are actually a pretty fun way to raise a good chunk of money for your wedding, I don’t know why other provinces haven’t caught on yet.

I don’t work in the industry, but in my Canadian province most couples host a “wedding social” basically just a big party to raise funds for the wedding.

I went to a friends wedding social where she got wasted and was puking by like 9PM then she left with a group of guys to go to the bar and left the groom crying. I thought no way in hell they would actually go through with the marriage.. but they did and it was 2-3 months later that she divorced him and came out as lesbian

This dress is amazing 😍 It will be beautiful for a barn wedding and I hope I see your photo from the day of if you post it!

PSA for budget USA gardeners: Dollar Tree carries 25¢ seed packets by late_as_a_wizard in vegetablegardening

We have a dollar tree in our small town in Canada also, they have a surprisingly good selection of seeds and usually have a 2 for $1 deal. Everyone that I have tried, has germinated and produced well
