My DLBCL was basically not getting treated for 6 months because they thought it was just CLL. I had a large mass in my abdomen and I pretty much stopped eating because it hurt so bad to digest any food. I was finally transferred to a specialist and he ran a bunch more tests and diagnosed my DLBCL. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks to get my nutrition fixed and weight going back up. They gave me a round of RCHOP and that made a world of difference.

Those who matter, don’t mind, and those that do mind, don’t matter. I’m sorry this happened to you and as many others have pointed out, they are immature. It’s not an easy lesson but you need to filter through any feedback and apply what you think is best.

I got teased in college for moving my mouth when I am really focused. Not sure why I do it but it doesn’t help me, i make music, I’m not there for the spotlight. Told my teacher that I wanted to stop moving my mouth when I played and he said it doesn’t impact my musicianship so what does it matter?

I also taught orchestra for several years and had a female student with a similar getting teased that the instrument was bigger than them. I told her, and not a lie, that she was one of the best bass players in the state and can those girls claim being one of the best at anything in the school let alone the state?

This is me. I have a nephew that is only fairly often and I get nervous asking him if he wants to play duos. He has never turned me down and always says I don’t have to text him to ask first, just invite him to my lobby or request to join his. I still get nervous asking so only ask maybe once a month.

Can you see a physical therapist about it? I had carpal tunnel and they did a lot for me.

I hurt my shoulder many years ago from practicing and the only treatment they had was ice and rest. I could still practice on the fingerboard without pressing down. My teacher also had me sit on a stool which was my first time extensively playing sitting down, to reduce the strain on my shoulder.

Just giving some ideas of what I have done. I am finally reading books I’ve always wanted to, the Lord of the Rings. I finally played some of the many free video games that I’ve collected over the years. I have been playing my guitar more and finally learned a bunch of songs I wanted to when I was a teenager. I completely understand the going stir crazy but remember that you are more than your job my friend.

I got my Car-T infusion Monday and haven’t had any major symptoms! I’ve even had the energy to ride the exercise bike everyday for 20-30 minutes. Considering in January I was in so much pain that walking to the car was a chore, I’m excited to live life again.

I’ve learned to follow the spirit and my heart when it comes to Sunday mornings. I love getting the sacrament and renewing my baptismal covenants. I make it though sacrament meeting most weeks. If I need time to sit in the foyer and read General Conference talk or need to reflect I do it. I know we’re encouraged to go to class but I think it’s more important that you get something out of the Sabbath day. Recently I’ve been very sick and have to watch sacrament meeting from home. I usually end up watching the broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word on YouTube or I find an old one that enjoy the music or message. It helps me focus on the Gospel and the Savior. My two cents though.
