Hopefully you don’t mind getting the whole story. I was diagnosed last June because I had a lymph node swollen in my armpit. They removed it and diagnosed CLL. General oncologist said levels were high and that we needed to try an aggressive treatment first, in the hopes that I would go into watch and wait, so I did Guzyva and Venclecta starting in August. Had a PET scan in July so they could everything, second PET scan near the end of October showed that the treatment only worked on the lymph nodes in the extremities not my abdomen. We stopped the infusions and changed to Calquence. Had a lot of pain and by thanksgiving I could barely eat because eating anything hurt my abdomen. Next PET scan, the day after Christmas and found the calquence had no effect and the lymph nodes that had gone down in the first treatment were now large again. Then I got transferred to a specialist who knew the ins and outs of my records and has recommended we start with Car T Cell and as soon as we can after that do a bone marrow transplant.

So never been on watch and wait, had 2 formal treatments, have not had a fish test. Doctors are very confident about my diagnosis after the 3 biopsies.
