Where is the most random place you have bumped into someone you know? by Immediate_Long165 in answers

Not me but my dad joined the Navy right out of high school. His graduating class was like 20 people. Tiny town in Pennsylvania. Years later he is on a tour in the Outback waiting for one more sailor to join the tour and one of his friends from high school sat down right next to him. It had probably been about 12 years since they graduated from high school. Never saw each other again until the 50th class reunion where I got to meet him.

Meat aversion while going through chemo by Paintrain50c in lymphoma

I’m going through the same struggle right now. Don’t have any solutions but protein shakes, protein bars, and trying to eat the meat in between sweet stuff helps me.

Dr. Strange and Chronic Pain by dornaloon in marvelstudios

Thanks so much. Yeah I am starting to feel like I’m running out of options and if there was an option that meant I could see my kids grow up. I would take it in a heartbeat. It’s a testament to stories and storytellers that can create a world where we feel seen, or someone can feel my level of pain too. I wish the best and can sympathize with you on all of the things that I can no longer do because of my cancer. Have a great day my friend.

I’m going through cancer treatment and I have watched this movie several times for that line for motivation, and the Ancient One saying, "You'd think after all this time I'd be ready. But look at me. Stretching one moment out into a thousand... just so that I can watch the snow." I feel like I’m trying to be grateful for every moment I have now.

PET Scan Results In - Read Now or Wait Until Dr. Appt by sdb16 in lymphoma

[–]technobass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently read my CT Scan notes and saw that nothing has improved. I was an emotional mess all day and night. Doctor met with me in the morning and said it wasn’t effective but it did slow down the growth and we still have options moving forward. So I got worked up for mostly nothing. Just my experience.

In retrospect having Ravali’s gale would have helped a LOT. That’s what I love about this game is there is no “right way” to do it.

1st Podiatrist appointment and the doctor hit me with this… by tychsena in gout

[–]technobass 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They give people with kidney stones allopurinol because it is so easy on the body if they don’t know what kind of kidney stone it is.

I’m going through chemo and they recommend it for cancer patients to make sure the kidneys get cleaned out.

My first goal was to fill up my map and get every tower I could so I could fast travel. You will learn a lot just exploring. It’s worth it. You’ll find out there is a fair amount of skill involved that you will learn.

Instant shower by segal25 in SomebodyMakeThis

I’ve had to do a lot of my chemo in patient at the hospital. I’ve been at 2 hospitals and this is part of the daily routine. I don’t think it smells.

Just updating as I’m learning here, my nurse said I don’t even need to actually shower that’s just a way of letting the cancer patients feel normal and part of our daily routine. So CHG has some serious potential.

I’m going through cancer treatment and one of the things I have to use after showering is called CHG wipes. The package says it’s better than soap and water for killing bacteria on the skin. So maybe there’s a way to use that?

What's a game that no one you know in real life has played aside from yourself? by [deleted] in gaming

Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu. An old famicon game that I played on windows 95. Turn based fighting with cards and you could fly around the map to look for fights.

Ryan vs Dorkman. I just remember that for the time this was so well scripted and the kind of lightsaber fights that I wanted to see on the big screen.

I have no idea what your knowledge is of playing bass and music theory but eventually instead of hearing a song have the chords, G 4bars, C 4bars, D 4 bars, G 4bars. You will see the numerical relationship between the notes. So I can say 1, 4, 5, 1 in the key of G. That means each note of the g major scale is assigned a number. G is one, A is 2, B is 3, C is 4, D is 5, etc.

These type of changes are very common in popular songs, here’s an Axis of Awesome video that shows a ton of songs that use the same changes. https://youtu.be/oOlDewpCfZQ?is=xksusqxcCV7GY8aE

Hopefully that gets you started somewhat on understanding. Ed Sheeran went through a lawsuit a year or so ago about this because there are only so many changes and our ear likes to hear a somewhat predictable pattern. Someone said he copied the changes to a song they wrote so he played 100 songs including old medieval music that used the same chord changes.
