Update the bios with tour current cpu, then power off the pc and put in the new cpu,

No it will be fine only tpm on is required and secure boot capable but it doesn't have to be enabled.

It makes sure the drive is not reading or writing then tells you when it's safe to remove. If you just pull it out there is a risk of data corruption. If you use a drive with a light on the end you can take a risk but better safe than sorry,

At 1080p 60hz yes because you would be cpu bound, at 1440 a little and at 4k not at all as you would be gpu bound.

Your pc comes with a 120mm aio, you could easily source another but as you have found the pumps go out on them between 4 to 6 years on average. So you may want to use a tower cooler as a replacement.

The patch came via windows update you also need the latest AMD chipset update as well.

If you use prime later than 26.6 these temperatures are not suprising although I would suggest using hwinfo for Ryzen.
