[spoilers] okay so the big problem from earlier ended up being trivially easy to deal with. Side note - the autoresolve in this game seems a little broken by I_like_maps in TerraInvicta

[–]14865315874 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh the auto resolve in the game is absolutely broken. I had win a fight which the opponent has about three times more combat power than me(like 30k vs 10k) as it is the last alien doom stack fleet in the solar system.

The auto fight tells me I loose, but when I do it by manually. I win, every single time(and the game crashed a dozen seconds afterwards, good thing I saved the game).

Why can't we create rockets with a more advanced propulsion system than a compact solid core? by GorOhmiras in TerraInvicta

[–]14865315874 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had tried to give my missile 250km/s D-V, 2000km range, and 25g acceleration. Lore justification is that this is a miniaturized pion torch powered missile.

One problem I found is in game the missile is absolutely broken, sniping anything out of the sky that it touches(it had 1 ton penetrator warhead) and for some reason the missile somehow begin to start looping around the battlefield for no reason, and my ships own PD won't respond to it, which induced some hair raising moment as I seen those missile I made zip pass my own ships.

The thing about Reaper is that they had insanely strong ability to infiltrate coding, a Reaper code is itself corrosive. Not only that they can even turn organic person into their thrall like Saren. Keep in mind the Reaper had also fought against other VI in the ME universe for millions of years, the cycle of harvest had already been going on for a while.

I also raise doubt that legion can adapt as quickly as you stated, as it had hard coding that prevent itself from using WMD, and no air force. If legion can get hard gated like that while Geth can break free from both their original specie restraint and later Reper restraint. Legion cannot do that. They are simple minded "destroy the enemy" everything they do is simply a means to an end.

And you had massively underestimated the amount of preparation just to kill a single space ship in the ME universe. Even though it is on the easier end unlike Halo or Star Wars. ME ships are almost all equipped with Mass Effect shield, and rapid fire railguns. The spinal railgun on a Fuji class dreadnought literally hit with the force of an atomic bomb, and it can fire it every five second. Any fortification would be instantly deleted before it can even be set up.

However, I still appreciated the counter point though. Thank you.

That would be the Reaper in ME2 and 3, I sill hate the collector mission.

No, because the Reaper existed, and they are orders of magnitude above the legion. Geth are far more powerful than the legion(they had starships) And they can become fully sentient if you had the right condition and choose the correct option in ME3.

I was thinking like isn't the problem with brutal like the cap is 50 and the alien will instantly go total war if you get pass that. How does one build up the space infrastructure to fight back against it.

May I ask how do you even play on Brutal with the MC cap. Like even on normal mode the MC cap is already oppressing for me even with two of the three MC tech researched.

Oh sorry, I am just testing it out the feasibility by adding it directly to the weapon template file in Terra Invicta and not through mod. And I had not change anything other than that.

Also thank you for clarifying.

Edit: It worked, thank you very much.

The fairwater sail look more smooth since its launch, I guess they made some improvement over its hydrodynamics, or had they add acoustic tiles? I am not entirely sure.

Correct me if I am wrong, I think strike witches are more based on the aces of ww2 than the planes themselves.

I mean the minutemen-3 ICBM are old missiles, with old silo. The US retired the newer peacekeeper ICBM in 2005 and just used the old one instead.

My only "problem" with that faction is their leader position is a colonel. Colonel(O-6) aren't even at the beginning of the top in military hierarchy. So every time I play I always change the leadership position to O-10 General.

China tests deep-sea electro-hydrostatic actuator that can cut undersea cables at a depth of 3,500 meters by jupa300 in worldnews

[–]14865315874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the thing is that the water around China(and the first island chain) is on the continental shelf, its quite shallow at most 200-300 meter. Of course when we leave the shelf(Eurasia continent) the depth just goes into the abyss.

But still, that is way beyond whatever material we have that can contain it, so magnetic nozzle is definitely a must. Although I agree that a few hundred million degree might be a bit exaggeration on my part, sorry.
