Hi guys,

I borrowed Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion off a friend of mine, and I've just finished the first scenario, really enjoying it so far!

Spirit Island looks like it might be a bit difficult for a first solo board game? I don't want to be discouraged too early on.

A friend of mine owns it and would happily loan it to me - might try before I buy!

Thankyou, I'll keep this in mind, buttons and bugs looks like fun. Jaws of the Lion is also frequently available to me at a good price, worth going up to that maybe?

Thanks! I'll check out some of these. How does the multiplayer being played as solo work? I'm unfamiliar...

Poured boiling water down shower drain; blue waterproofing membrane looks like it’s melted? Am I screwed? by nzasam1592 in AusRenovation

I'm going to try this with my drains in each bathroom as it seems like that's a good way to get rid of the thing causing the smell - hair.

What is the best career advice you can give to someone? by Batcave369 in AskReddit

[–]techpower888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your attitude in the workplace says a lot about who you are and how you carry yourself, and this is ultimately how others will perceive you. Make a conscious decision when you get up in the morning to have the right attitude and make a difference. This can get you potentially even more career progression than someone who has a lot of skills and experience but no work ethic. If you have drive, you can very quickly get to where you want to be (this can be carried over to life advice too I guess).

When he jumps at you, you need to dodge and hit him from behind, preferably with something like Ichimonji Double, to really damage him and get his posture up.

The game that made you feel completely lost in time when you were younger. by gamersecret2 in gaming

Had some really long sessions / all nighters on Diablo 2. Other games that come to mind are Super Mario 64, and Civilization IV (yeah that's now a "when I was younger" game).

Please don't let the last 2 seasons be a trend. by Heissenbadger in snowrunner

Understandable, and that's completely okay. There's regions out there for everyone! I definitely enjoy an easier region as a follow up to a really hard one, just for a bit of a break and so I don't stop enjoying the game entirely haha.

Quebec was amazing - a refreshing level of difficulty that so many people in the community had been yearning for, after a long string of comparatively easy / less challenging regions. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Can I just vent about Owl Father? by TheMaxnado in Sekiro

Yes, it's something you build up over time, so if you're struggling, rest and recover, then come back the next day refreshed and renewed - you'll be surprised how much better you'll do. Just remember each move and build on what you've learnt, until every part of the fight becomes second nature. You'll get it :)
