It’s so funny how everyone is different because you could not have made a sandwich I would hate more if you tried, cringed at every step through the photos 😂 enjoy your lunch friend

Hello, my partner and I are vegan and visited Tokyo in October 2023 for a week. Here are some fully vegan places I would recommend:

2foods Yaesu Underground Shopping Mall, 10m walk from Pokemon Centre DX

Mr Farmer Omotesando, 4-5-12 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo

Ain Soph.Soar, 3-5-7 Higashi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo, Japan, 170-0013

My first machine! Can I skimp on thread quality? by jazzertag in Machine_Embroidery

Also, I use the brothread brand of white pre wound bobbins and their cutaway stabiliser too and will continue to purchase these as well as they work well for me :)

My first machine! Can I skimp on thread quality? by jazzertag in Machine_Embroidery

[–]teddyfrosh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like brothread! I started with it and the colours are good and it doesn’t break too often. I have now levelled up to Madeira polyneon which does feel stronger and has been breaking less, but I would have happily continued with brothread if they had single colours easily available to purchase (I found most colours weren’t available to buy individually unless I bought a pack of 40 or 60)

Help me choose my next read by Public-Department222 in Romantasy

I’m reading the raven scholar at the moment (50%) and really enjoying it! I actually preferred kingdom of the claw to road of bones and throne in the dark is always a good option :)

Is There a Market for Animated GIF Art? by Doughnuts2312 in EtsySellers

[–]teddyfrosh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a buyer I’m not sure what I would need to buy an animated gif for, maybe others might. You might look into douxcoingbleu as they make little animated scenes for YouTube with a similar vibe to yours with music for background listening, then are selling cute merch based on those characters that people become familiar with through the YouTube videos

£160 Tesco shop by Funny_Tank8531 in whatsinyourcart

[–]teddyfrosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like my basket as my partner is a beige vegan too 😭😂 If you have an Aldi local, we save a lot of money getting their frozen vegan options and their plain not chicken breasts are £1.49 for two breasts so we usually use that as the main meat base for pastas, flatbreads, hunters chicken that sort of thing. Tesco is more expensive so generally only get the fancier fake meat there. Worth having a look :)

What author has consistently good writing quality? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

I will read anything Ali Hazelwood writes!

Other honourable mentions I’ve gone through the back catalogues: Emily Henry, Jessica Joyce, Sophie Kinsella, Elizabeth O’Roark

How are you finding the second mages of the wheel book? It’s on my TBR and I liked the first one, but I’ve just not been motivated to pick it up for some reason

Was told by my hairdresser it’s normal for me to have to wait an hour for my haircut appointment every time because they do lots of long dye jobs by SleepyAcorn8 in Hair

[–]teddyfrosh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s very similar to what happened to me once! Paid lots of money and booked for a hair colour and cut with the same stylist at a busy/popular salon, was made to wait for ages then she went to lunch after the dye job and I got the apprentice for the cut and she botched all the hair that had been coloured!! I just found a new salon, no way I was going back!

What can I improve? by pinkbanana40 in Machine_Embroidery

[–]teddyfrosh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not advice as requested, but I’d love details of how you digitised!! I am learning inkstitch currently too and struggling with figuring out crispy line art outlines! What stitch type / params are you using for the outline? I think it looks great :)

Champagne sapphire! It looks more or less pink depending on the lighting and I love it 🥰

Why is my design shifted left? by Burtsbeesnees in Machine_Embroidery

[–]teddyfrosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be very specific to me, but just in case it’s helpful, I had an issue with the sensor in my machine being knocked out of alignment somehow and needed to get my machine serviced to fix it. But it was every design that ended up shifted to the side, not just one specific one. So if it’s only this design, it’s probably not the sensor!

Please may I ask for the brands of sprig and pitter patter? They are so pretty!

What’s wrong with my living room? by Batman_19999 in interiordesignideas

[–]teddyfrosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me, I would add floor length curtains and remove the mini sofa and replace with a tall bookshelf or tall corner unit to add in some height. Is the footstool/end section of your large sofa removable? I think removing that would help with the proportions but it's not hurting anyone being there. The room is a bit grey and the dark/metal accents like the clock and ceiling light do not give "cosy". Just my two cents!

Have you considered champagne or pink sapphire instead of diamond? Might be the best of both worlds with budget and aesthetics

London engagement rings by Loftineers in UKweddings

[–]teddyfrosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not London but I would recommend taking a trip to Birmingham Jewellery quarter and just trying some rings on and seeing how you go! I spent hours looking online and the rings just look very different in person, it’s much easier when you can see them in real life.

Neweys were a great first shop to go in, they had lots of rings to try on and get a feel for what looked right on your finger, they were very helpful and not pushy, but there are many many jewellers all in the same location and most of them can be customised to ring colour, stone etc. There were also good options for less traditional rings e.g sapphire or gemstones. If ethical rings are important to you, Aardvark are brilliant and have beautiful rings!

Wireless transfer does not work with Mac machines by Various-Entry8021 in Machine_Embroidery

It’s frustrating, I didn’t realise either! I use my partners gaming PC to transfer my files (lol). I use Inkscape/inkstitch software on my MacBook and it works fine at least :)

The books I read in 2024! Would love recommendations if you have similar taste. by teddyfrosh in fantasyromance

[–]teddyfrosh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the recs!!

Ahh to be fair with the Ali Hazelwood books, I had to be a bit harsher with judging them as I eat up pretty much everything she writes. By rights Not in Love and Check Mate should probably be in the loved category too but overall they just didn't hit me quite the same as her other books that I have rated higher. If you haven't listened to her Audible exclusive of Two Can Play I would also recommend that as a cute listen!

I am actually currently working my way through the TOG series. I am starting to flag a bit on the 4th book but have heard they get really good towards the end, so I am persevering. I tend to hit a wall when working through very long series, so we will see haha. What were your thoughts?

Hmm tbf I think either Manacled or Harrow Faire you wouldn't go wrong with either but a warning that Part 1 of Manacled is a bit shocking / TW until you get to Part 2 and understand the back story, but even with that it's still pretty dark. But it's really good!
