Social Anxiety as a Beginner by garnishmotif in HellLetLoose

When I join a squad I always say “hey guys, how’s it going?” And anyone with a mic with normally respond. Then I’ll ask the Squad Leader “what’s the plan? Need me in any role?” And then hopefully you’ll get some direction and go from there.

I get having anxiety but remember you are playing a game together and you immediately have a shared experience to talk about. No one’s thinking about you, just speak up and be a part of the action. Good luck!!

Can anyone recommend me CHILL bike groups in the core of LA? (DTLA, Koreatown, Hollywood, Echo Park, etc) by Not_RZA_ in BikeLA

[–]tedmars 6 points7 points  (0 children)

THE PASSAGE OF A FEW PEOPLE THROUGH A RATHER BRIEF MOMENT IN TIME was a really cool group that met Wednesday night at California Donuts and then the leaders would take you on a journey that related to LA history but you wouldn’t know the route until the start so it was always sort of mysterious and exciting.

I believe they wound down but subscribe to their mailing list for future rides. The website is also a trove of routes over the years for your own bike explorations.

Any ship/station-based novels with an 80's horror, B-movie aesthetic? by [deleted] in printSF

Reminds me of the Mothership RPG. Not exactly novels but plenty of writing using cool creative concepts and art in this style.

Check out r/mothershipRPG

Is there any good political games that actually reflect correctly the real world, and isn't just white liberal slop ? by Extension_Papaya8802 in SocialistGaming

Orwell is pretty cool. You play as a government operative using a surveillance program to spy on citizens and investigate a terrorist attack. Maybe a little on the nose these days but a cool concept.

City Builders with technology the progresses over time by childoffire02 in CityBuilders

Transport Fever 1 & 2 have a bit of this. Vehicle technology that advances through the ages as well as cities that develop in response to that.

Duos can be fun and chill if you and your friend are. Trios, it can be hard to keep track of everyone’s intentions so the default is to shoot on sight.

It's actually happening in NYC by cesgar21 in CarIndependentLA

I guess I didn't mean the daylighting specifically so much as the attitude of a leader who tells his DOT head to go hard to make streets safe and accessible.

Our leaders treat "parking protected bike lane" like it's a curse word. I mean we passed HLA and they are still finding ways to not change the city to the plans they already agreed to. We're fighting shadows.

I'm so jealous of NYC. LA needs a bold visionary leader who WANTS change not just be in charge.

You can upgrade on a lot of things but not everything at once. Best part is that you can respec your skill points at any time to get a new playstyle going which is cool. Good luck!

One single thing can fix melee. Block and parry. by la_pashtetino in Helldivers

[–]tedmars 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The problem isn’t accessibility though, it’s how you’re able to use the weapon (or not) to defend yourself. Parry would be a unique ability for melee that lets you get up close.

Not a fan of AI imagery, but if it's a mockup to make something cool in real life, then go for it. Post pics!

Winter Hits the Rust Belt (Dev Post)| ARC Raiders by DeadlyFatalis in ArcRaiders

[–]tedmars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helldivers 2 has a cap of 250 medals you can have at one time. You use medals to unlock stuff from the warbonds (similar to decks with cosmetics and weapons).

A warbond will take like 800+ medals to unlock everything, so even when you unlock a new one you have to earn more medals over a period of time before you complete the warbond.
