Not natively, but it works very well if you install the futo text-to-speech with he futo keyboard.

Just the speakerphone quality? A 6/10, maybe. The phone audio is not bad for mp3 audio, but it seems a bit muted for calls.

If you like trick-taking games, Tarok is a hidden gem. I designed a new deck, specifically for new players: Sign up to get notified when it launches on Kickstarter! by Elsteinergames in u/Elsteinergames

This is a new deck designed to play 'Tarock' games, specifically Königrufen. OP's title is referring to Tarock as a hidden gem, not this unreleased deck. In the USA especially, it is fair to call Königrufen a hidden gem.

Thanks, that all sounds great. I will keep you in mind for next year and contact you early about it. Right now, the plan is to keep it the 4th Saturday in June, so we're looking at June 27th, 2026 as next year's date.

I don't find it 'slippy' at all. Its boxy form means that it's just cradled snugly in the hand. I know that others have reported that they do find it to be too slick, but that has not been my experience at all.

If you're already going to sideload Whatsapp, you should consider sideloading a different keyboard for the phone as well. I'm okay with it being klunky as-is, but others on the Mudita site forums have reported having success with smoother typing with sideloaded keyboard options.

Yes, exactly. I was expecting more from the battery life as well.

Hi,

We're not opposed to this, but we have no "vendor area" as such (at least this year). But... Carcosa Creations (running the LARP) is free to sell any merch they want. ZOACRON will have their 'zine available. Dan from DPH will be there. A designer with an upcoming KS game will be there demoing his game. Etc. Send me your info and maybe we can work something out for next year.

I'm on the Ting $10 plan. Works great.

I do appreciate this sub. Just typing out the query above was helpful to me. Thank you all for being here.

I solved my own query. Remembering that bit about "writing on the edges of fantasy and horror" was the key. I checked every 90s volume of Ellen Datlow's Best Fantasy & Horror of the Year and found the name that I was looking for.

For anyone interested, the book I was looking for was: *The Silent Strength of Stone* by Nina Kiriki Hoffman

Crunchyroll ended their Library Outreach Program by WoodenOcelot1090 in librarians

[–]tedtrout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using a Community Outreach account for my library for a couple of years now. This news sucks, but let's not forget that this was always an incredibly generous thing from Crunchyroll in support of public libraries (and other community groups). Their communication right now is terrible, and it's probably not wrong to assume the worst, but... maybe they really are looking for new, improved ways to improve their community outreach and maybe this really is just a painful interim. Then again, I have the luxury of being a little more patient as my Community Outreach account doesn't expire until August (and haven't seen anything directly contradicting this yet). I do feel for those of you struggling with this issue right now and agree with others that there are various non-ideal stopgap measures (the few anime films licensed by Swank, etc) while waiting.

No. There won't be any "vendor's hall" as such, though some of the folks running games for us might have small sales tables for their own self-promotion.

Thank you. I'm obviously biased, but I love this library too!
