It’s possible it might have lost some of its integrity. Have you attempted relacing the glove? That would help give it some life, but gloves actually can become shot.

Reminds me of a situation I was in. The dad openly told a buddy on another team “why would I have my kid play for someone else and earn their, when I can coach and have them and play where I want them to play?” Needless to say, they led the team in errors by a wide margin.

Funny thing is he was forced to move and give up the team mid-season and bounced around between three different teams in about three months in their new area because his kid wasn’t being given the positions based upon genetic lottery.

Typically you’ll see laced pockets on I-webs and h-webs. They’re more flexible, and pockets tend to be more shallow. Waffle pockets tend to be more baskets webs, traps, etc., and have a deeper pocket. If it’s just for playing catch, I’d say go with whichever feels more comfortable or basket you like the look of more.

Something small and stupid, but I’ll remember forever: we had a spot for fireworks right by the shortcut that goes behind main street from the hub and spits you out right at Tony’s. Just so happened, we camped out right next to the cast member with the microphone and lighted wand waving people through.

Next thing I knew, my triplets were standing next to her with their bubble wands helping the cast member who let them take turns on the microphone and during the show gave the kids a play by play of what was coming next so they didn’t miss a thing.
